Hello all,
I hopefully will be able to return to work September 4th as long as I can get off of the fentanyl before then with no problems. My surgeon took the list I gave him of the physical parts of my job (I am a veterinary assistant) so that he can give weight limits and say what things I cannot do and for what length of time. My concern is that we only have 1 bathroom (not the kind with stalls just one toilet and a sink) and this also doubles as our xray development room. As we all know if a barium test is done (from either end) frequent films need to be taken and if bad new ones need to be taken fast...more errors happen with animals since they just dont stay still even with 3 people holding them sometimes and you cannot sedate them for those type of tests. So if I have to go and they are developing I am SOL. I can request to develop though I guess but when the xray cleaning man comes to clean the developer he occupies the bathroom for 3 to 5 hours on average where no one can use it. To cross the street is no easy task being on a main road and not near any stop signs or traffic signals and the other buildings that are near us ...well..I dont think I could clench long enough to make it.
