Hello, i`m from mauritius island. I wanted to share my experiennce. I have crohn disease since 4 years.

I was pregnant of 3 months and i made a surgery. Fortunately my baby is alive and now she is 3 years old , i m still on pills. I did not think about it and live my life like a normal person.

Don`t think about it, i know sometimes it hurts...

Welcome to the healing well forum.

You were pregnant when you found out that you had crohn's disease? Were you very scared to have surgery when you were pregnant? I was sick first when I was pregnant for my third baby. When I went to the hospital I was afraid I would miscarry and lose my baby. I did not and now my baby is 29 years old.

I am so glad that you were able to keep the pregnancy and that you have a beautiful little girl. She must keep you very busy. It is easier to forget bad things when you have a beautiful baby to care for. Please do not ignore your pain if it gets any worse. I'm glad you have pills. Pills have really helped me.

Welcome Christine,

First of all I want to say it's so nice to communicate with people from all over the world!!!!!  My symptoms also began when I was pregnant with my second daughter, but I wasn't diagnosed until last year.  I know that our children give joy to our lives, but sometimes we need to be really strong to face all the challenges!!!!!

Therefore I hope you take good care of yourself first of all, so that you can also take care of your loved ones.

Hello,

Since this week i feel sad!! I`m pregnant, one month!! and my doctor told that i`will not be able to keep the baby.

My pain becomes stronger, i`m 27 years!! i always fight but this times i feel weak. My husband wanted to have another one but unfortunately i can`t give him.

Belleenstein, tell me please does the pain becomes stronger afterwards!!!

Hi Christine,I am very sorry to hear about your situation w/the new baby.I hope that everything works out for you.

I also got very sick during my pregnancy & had my first surgery shortly after giving birth.Also,my daughter is 3 & a half years old.It's good to hear that your daughter is doing well.

just curious, is your island near South Africa? from what I understand, Crohn's disease is far less common in that area of the world.

 HELLO i`m back, chrisitine of mauritius,

 

i wanted to share my 2nd experience, last time i was pregnant and i lost the baby, and i had another surgery on my intestin due that i was pregnant the absess were formed. 

Make one month that i`m still at home. At the age of 28 already done 2 surgeries

Here in mauritius the doctors don`t tell u w ht they have done.  sad

 

 

Glad Bag-  last time you ask me if the South africa is near to my island, yes there`s a little dot in the indian ocean

Hello,

I am Jennifer from Mauritius Island, I was diagnosed with crohn's disease at the age of 13 years old and now I am 27.

I had several surgery, the last one was 2 years ago.(intestinal oclusion).

I got married last year, and my husband and I are trying to conceive.. but in vain.

Is it due to frequent flare up?
