HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I am passing gas but not stooland when the pain is bad I get nauseas but have not vommited

I got ahold of my GI's office and they want me to go to th ER because he is busy all morning. That was after they asked me of I could wait until my appointment on monday

I usually try a couple shots of Milk of Mag.

Nice doctor!! I am living proof that obstructions and all kinds of other things don't show up on a CT scan. Sometimes if you have a really good GI, they can go look at the scan in person and see things the radiologist may have missed.

Make sure you make an appointment with your GI, hopefully the one who understands that you need more testing and possibly some medications to get you through until then.

Did he give you the note? Did he give you more pain meds? Did he talk to you about how to deal with this until the Remicade kicks in?

You don't say what meds you're on, have you already been on Remicade?

Sounds like you'll have to try a soft or liquid diet for a while until the symptoms resolve, if they resolve.

Has your doctor always treated you like this? Maybe he thinks you've already been through it, and understand that you just have to deal with episodes like this?

I hope you get some relief, but in the mean time, unless this was an unusual appointment, I would start looking for another GI. Maybe one who will take some time to talk to you and figure out a game plan. At least one who will discuss his game plan with you.

Maybe the fact that you're past due with the Remicade is the reason you had your problem? Why were you past due?

My doctor always examines me, although I'm not sure what he gets from that exactly. I once had a doctor that never examined me, spent all his time telling me how lucky I was to have him as a doctor. By the time I changed my insurance and saw a real doctor, I was so sick I had to have an ostomy that turned out to be permanent, there were no other alternatives.

You at least need a doctor who will discuss what's happening to you and what the plan is and if he thinks the plan needs to change. He/she should also listen to you, and answer any questions you may have, and respect you enough to discuss things in an educated manner.

I vote that you either tell him you want more out of your appointments or look for a new GI. At the very least,, have a type written list of questions next time. If he doesn't have time to answer them all, give him the list and tell him you'll be expecting a phone call or answers in the mail.

I would think that being one month past due for the remicade would affect you negatively. He doesn't sound like he really cares about your concerns. Did you explain to him the pain, the constipation and nausea?
