Hi,

I feel so nauseaous right now and pain in my tummy

I had to call my GI to see if its ok for me to take the 250mg of imuran and I told him about the way I am feeling and said to stop the imuran and see what that does....and call him in monday

I am still taking 9m of entocort and I can't see a difference...my crp is at 17.5 so still high

one new symptom \i have is ...I was actually constipated this morning

I just vomited a lot of bile.... can this be a partial obstruction?

what's the symptoms of partial obstruction?

any advice until monday would be greatly appreciated

This could be a couple of things. How long ago did you start the imuran? It could be a reaction. I went through the same thing and they took me off of it (I have to update my signature) and put me on methylpred. If it is a reaction to the imuran you just kind of have to wait out the vomiting. Though if it continues (give it a few hours), go to the ER.

Symnptoms pain like omg ....nausea...pain for me was around belly button.. just feeling like I had enough of suffering. vomiting,later no passing gas and no BM's,, got to point I couldn't eat. Hope this helps and hope this lets up soon for you. If it is really bad go to emerg.lol gail

250mg of Imuran! OMG...that sounds like such a high dose! I don't think I've heard of anyone over 150mg! How long have you been on that dose? And how long after taking the Imuran did you start vomiting?

Megamax - How much do you weigh? The reason I ask is that I agree with Broomhilda that your dose sounds high. In Crohn's, the standard range of Imuran is 1 to 2.5 mg per kilogram of body weight. I weigh about 124 and take 75 mg of Imuran daily. I was prescribed 100 mg daily but was having issues at that amount.

Also, if you are still vomiting, having pain or any other unusal symptom, please go to the ER. Imuran can cause isssues with the pancreas in some rare instances. This is nothin to try to will away or ignore hoping it gets better. It's best to err on the side of caution.

Please let us know how you are doing.

When I was on my highest dose of imuran I was 90 pounds and I took 150mg

I weigh 250 lb but I was only takinh 50mg for 11day until the GI receive the blood work and says that it was ok for me to take 250MG

by the way I went to the ER last night ....I was vomiting so much...the doc there said I had a bad reaction to the Imuran SO I am stopping it until I call the gi on monday....\I took 3 different anti nausea med and the last one started to work...its called zofran(sp?)
I kind of feel better just very thirsty....
