Medication & Memory Loss??

I have only had one resection for my Crohn's - about 2 years ago. That is when I was finally diagnosed! I had 2 ft of small removed. I haven't had anything else, but have been fighting tooth & nail and have never been in remission yet. I keep hoping, but not yet!

Ya, unfortunately, I work for a small private College and we are self insured, which means that we pay for all of our employee's claims, including mine! Worse yet, I work in Human Resources, doing benefits and I KNOW what I cost my employer - it sucks royally - but what is a girl to do?

I take different opiates for the Crohns and Pyoderma gangrenosum............

In my opinion and its only mine these dont seem to be the problem.........

I have had many probs with short term memory loss for yrs ........My long term memory is great so far

IO do think the methotrexate causes some of this as well as all the MANY MANY different IV antibiotics I have been on for over 13 plus yrs

** Vancomycin has been proven to have caused my hearing loss in left ear totally and in right it is about at 50 % and getting worse............** I had a doc that would have me on it for mths at a time .............NOT GOOD

Vanco is a great antibiotic when used appropriately and for alloted time period IMHO
