Has anyone got any ideas as to why my mouth is not improving? I'm now starting my third bottle of medicine (the steriod one) and still
the inflammation is there. I'm now using kids watermelon toothpaste as the regular brought tears to my eyes.
My tongue in particular is the worse, it gets so swollen sometimes, my speech alters. However I still have no ulcers!!
Has anyone!! had this same problem. I swear I'm going insane, can't eat much either...

Oh, I forgot, I also feel like I have a lump in my throat. I can feel it when I swallow. Could the inflammation go down there...

Vicky are you taking any new meds? Kinda sounds like an allergic reaction. I think maybe a call to the doc is in order. Sure hope you get feeling better soon.

Hey guys, you got me thinking. about
1 1/2 months ago I was given Prevacid solu-tabs to replace prilosec that had quit working. Now I'm
wondering if there's a connection. I have to let the tablet dissolve under my tongue, so it's in my mouth for some time.
I guess I have a phone call to make. I hadn't given it a thought until you said about
meds.. THANKS

Home remedies: Try to gargle warm salt water.
May help over time.
Hope you feel better soon!

Benadryl is good for allergic reactions.

I've just realized that there is benedryl in the medicine I'm taking. So in theory, it shouldn't be the prevacid. However I've done some
reading about
the side effects of prevacid, and it says it can inhibit B12 from being absorbed. So if I already have a low count, these
can only make it worse. One of the symptoms of low B12 is a sore tongue. My levels of B12 have been only 100 and that's with shots
every 2 weeks. So I'm assuming that has worsened. I'll call the doctor tomorrow. Some times I think you're darned if you do and
darned if you don't.
Thanks for your help.

I agree you need to tell your doctor that the meds that you are taking for them is cutting it and that you'll need to come up with somthing so you gety get some relief from them.
