swelling/fluid retention in legs???

Has anyone had issues with painful swelling/fluid in their legs??  Sometimes my legs seems so heavy and tight from my hips right on down.  The swelling is hard though- it isn't like pitting edema.  It also almost has a burning sensation- does this happen with crohn's?  Anyone out there with CD experience this????

Are you on pred by chance? I noticed more fluid in my legs and face since I started a few weeks ago.
The pain comes and goes, it's not fun.

I have swelling in my lower legs, ankles and feed on pred. No real pain from that though.
Hope you figure it out -- lots of good advice here.

I have had problems with Eretha Nydosum (spelling is wrong) which is a dermatalogical condition that effects the skin. This causes swelling, discoloration of the skin (looks like bruises) and joint pain. This is what you may have and this is caused by Crohns. The only way to take care of it...is to get your Crohns under control. I have this every single time that I have a flare and it SUCKS.

I had it this June. But it was very painful. I couldn't walk without pain meds. My feet, ankles and knees were very swollen with fluid. I went to the Rheumatologist and he put me on prednisone for 6 days, and it went away. My GI said it was from the Crohn's, but she wanted the Rheumy to treat it.
