Guys

Posted a few times in the past week

I have had 5 transfusions and 2 episodes of bleeding over the past week

The doctors have scoped be top and bottom as far as they can go, and found no active bleeding

I am scheduled for a capsule endoscopy on thursday

I am a crohns patient for 15 years, this is the first time I ever bled

What is going on with me

and what are the next steps if the capsule endoscopy shows nothing

PLEASE HELP!!!

hey zozo. even with the top and bottom scopings, they cant see the whole intestinal tract. it is probably an ulceration that has eaten through the lining and has hit a vein. hopefully the pill cam will spot it. and it may have to be repaired surgically if its still going on.

Quick question
I have no pain, none whatsoever, I have been sympton free since my resection 2 years ago, other than some partial obstruction epsiodes
My Small bowel series barium scan 4 months ago showed no active Crohns,
Colonoscopies and CT scans showing no active inflammation
That is why this is so puzzling

well if it is an ulceration on the lining of the intestine, it would not cause pain. there are no pain receptors in the intestine for that. the only pain from intestines is when they are being stretched. (gas, constipation, a blockage etc... otherwise food would be painfull to digest and travel through. in 4 months an ulceration can grow tremendously. i just hope that the camera can spot the "spot" thats giving you trouble. good luck
