Hi everyone. I've been away from this board for a long time. It's nice to come back, although now I'm having problems again (I was fine for a while!).

Anyway, I know this has been asked before, but can anyone recommend a good GI in Manhattan, NY area?? I know there's Dr. Abreu (who actually takes my insurance), but I hear from another post that she's leaving? I would like someone who I can work with long term and who has good bedside manner. not someone who'll take my money and run. haha. anyway, please let me know if you have any recs! thanks!!!!

Hi I here N.Y. Presbyterian Hospital is good they have good Gi doctors there. I have family in N.Y.

that's it? I know roughly that Mt. Sinai and NY Preb are great hospitals with good GI care centers... but anyone specific I should know about? i know there are more people from ny on this board! pls help as i am bleeding and i want to find a good dependable doctor soon!

I go to Dr. Ben-Zvi. He is associated with Lenox Hill Hospital, and his Manhattan office is 911 Park Ave.
No complaints from me.

Abreu leaves Mt. Sinai December 1. She will be Chief of Gastroenterology at the University of Miami.

I see Dr. Ellen Scherl and Dr. Brian Bosworth at the Jill Roberts IBD Center which is affiliated with NYPresbyterian Cornell Medical.  There center is only for people with IBD.  They are both extremely knowledgable.  I first saw Dr. Scherl after she was a guest speaker at the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation Dinner.  She did not take my insurance so then I went to her associate Dr. Bosworth.  He is very young but extremely smart!  All they do is IBD.  I  live on Long Island but the trip to the city is worth it.  I went for opinions at Mt. Sinai and was not happy.

Seeking info on a Bosworth(USArmy officer), who was stationed in Augsburg Germany circa 1965-1970s.
