help blood and anal fistula

i've had a anal fistula with a seton in for a while. Today when i went to the bathroom, there was blood on the toliet paper, so i bent over with a mirror and checked it out. There is blood coming out on the surface of the fistula hole. This is new. I've had drainage there but no blood. I don't see the doctor til thursday and there are no openings. Also, i've had pain down there for a long time, the stabbing kind. I'm not sure whether to be concered or not. Please let me know thanks

Interesting.....I just had an mri done yesterday because last week I went to my gi because I had had blood coming out of my fistula that has a seton in it for a week! I would have enough blood at times, that I couldn't see te bottom of the toilet bowl. So, they wanted to see if I have another fistula possibly, or any cavities or something like that....I have had my seton for just over a year, and have never experienced anything like that. I still have blood from it periodically.....

So, I'm sorry that I don't really have an answer for you, but hopefully, I will have one when I get my mri results back.....he did put me on flagyl 3 times a day....

also i have a low grade fever-forgot to throw that in.
