Hi just started humira! Anyone have anything bad happen to them on this drug?? Does it work for alot of you?? TRICIA

Hi Tricia,
If you do a search on Humira, you'll find tons of posts about it.

I've been on it since March, and it's been a godsend. I get an injection site reaction that lasts a few days, fatigued after my shot, and sometimes numbness in my fingers. But it truely has been a significant help for me! Good health and Good luck!

Welcome and hi,

I'M on Humira have been on it for all most two years and it has worked good for me when the other's like Remicade or Methotrexate but you have to keep in mind that every one reacts different to meds.Let me know how you are doing on it.

I've been on it since Feb and doing really well! It kept me from surgery =)

No reaction at all.

I loved it...it was the first thing other then prdnisone that worked BUT with no side effects.

I am hoping that once I am through the breast cancer thing, I can go back on it.

I have a hope though maybe ///hopefully ///that when I go through chemo for the BC it may put the Crohns in remisssion.....I have high hopes.

Tricia, I hope you have as good of results as I have had.  I had 15 solid years of constant pain, bleeding and all the rest.  I began Humira a year and a half ago and it has been a miracle for me.  I now only take 4 Asacol a day along with the Humira every other week.  I have taken every possible medication (and at very high doses) and nothing worked before.  I now have no diarrhea and no bleeding at all.  I do have a bit of pain here and there, but nothing like before. It does take a little while to get everything under control, so don't give up on it if it doesn't work immediately.  Good luck!

Posted to wrong thread, but I have only been on humira for 2 1/2 weeks now. I already had started feeling better, but have had a sl setback with RUQ pain. Good luck to you

thanks guys for responding! I hope to at least get off steriod and then i will know if humira is working for me or not. Just notice brusing easily could be from steriod. Really tired after i did the first 4 shots. that week was in bed so early every day. I do my next two injections on tuesday. No reaction site itching or anything but the burning sucks like heperin shots or potassium getting injected.

I am also taking Humira injections and there was a time where it actually did make me feel better. I had oral surgery, was on plenty of antibiotics for infections and since then my stomach has been a disaster.
i have been on and off of prednisone (feeling fantastic ), but i don't have the same kind of luck with Humira anymore. I feel that my condtion has not improved as it was before i took all of those antibiotics and believe me i am getting very FRUSTRATED because nothing seems to be working anymore.

Maybe somebody out there has any suggestions for me.

I can sure need them.

Will you have to have surgery did your doctors say?  I know that is the last resort!
