I went to check out a new GI doctor today, or rather I interviewed one to see if he would be a good fit. I was hoping he'd be
open to my case about
the connection between diet and crohn's. The man had absolutely no insight! He listened to my chest and poked around my stomach. I was so frustrated! I'm trying to change doctors so I can have one closer to me, but it looks like I'll stick with my old one, even though she's 40 minutes away.
Any of you get frustrated when talking to your GI? I don't understand why they don't recognize the connection between diet and the disease or at least have some interest in hearing about it. My disease got 90% better because I cut out dairy. I know that every case is unique but he literally told me that almost none of his patients have trouble with dairy, which makes me suspicious. I really would like to see a napropath. Anyone know a good one in the western suburbs of Chicago? Suggestions, please!
