Hello all... I am brand new to this site (referred by a friend), but have been diagnosed with CD since Jan '04.
Anyway...I just had an EGD done yesterday (fun!), and my doctor mentioned beforehand that my pancreatic enzymes are 'elevated' according to my last batch of blood work (10/31). When I asked what that meant or what caused it, he said that it could be caused by my taking Asacol. I take 4 pills twice a day, which I know isn't an unusually high dose (I've taken more than that in the past).
My question for you all is: Has anyone else heard/read anything about Asacol causing high levels of pancreatic enzymes? And if so, what was done?
