I was diagnosed with Crohn's

Hey there,
have been lurking for a while but figured it was about time I came out of the shadows and introduced myself!

I'm a 20 year old uni student and from the UK, I was diagnosed with Crohn's after a 2 month long 'stomach bug' when I was 15. I am also in the oh so lucky 30% of crohnies that has reactionary/Crohn's arthritis to go with it (sacroiliitis, arthritis in fingers, wrists and jaw) but talking of lucky I really am, after nearly a year of being seriously ill with this disease and facing a bag I got infliximab treatment (maintained with methotrexate) and have been in remission for 4 1/2 years (1 week out of it 2 1/2 years ago but got given another infliximab and ta da sorted) however lately my Crohn's has been grumbling a bit, nothing too unmanageable and not really enough to call it a full blown flare, but its been enough to draw me to the boards I found so helpful and comforting when I first got diagnosed. I hope you don't mind me gate crashing the party but from what I've seen round here its a great board and I hope that maybe I can be a part of that and maybe use some of my experience to help other people with this illness as I understand how isolating and frustrating it can be.

The members of this forum know their  medicines and the most updated tests and treatments.  As Crohn's affects each person  differently it is a disease that takes patients on many different paths.
