I am 30 and have 3 kids of my own. My husband got clipped - but apparently didn't take.... :(

So... anyway - decided on a medical abortion. I went in Monday - got the first pill. doc said I was VEERY early. sent me home with 4 miso's - took those the next day. That was yesterday. Last night around 5 I had a gush of blood with a couple of clots, then almost stopped by 10p. Never cramped or anything. Today, to say that there is spotting is almost an overstatement. So... my question is - when I asked the doctor on the phone.He said that is "perfect, everything is normal" but what I have read and seen is that people bleed pretty heavy.

Anyone else experience this or heard of this??? Did it work or not?????

Hello Sunny,

I am not sure about the answer or any advice to your question.  I would have to advise you to stay in  contact with your physician as he is the professional in this case.  I am so sorry you had to go through this event and I hope all is ok with you.

Hi Sunny,

I agree with Kitt, stay in contact with the doctor. But maybe you didn't bleed as much because it was early. I hope that everything is normal as the doctor said.

Hopefully somebody will come along that knows more. Just know that we are thinking of you.

Thanks! I can't seem to find any real information about 'normal' medical abortions, only horrible stories. weird.

Hi Sunny,
I'm Gillian, I havent been on in a while but I wanted to post a reply to you.
I'm sorry for what you are going through and I agree with Gettinby, maybe it was because you were very early,I had a miscarriage a few years ago and I was only 6/7 weeks and I had no craamps what so ever and the bleeding lasted only one day.
But most importantly if you have any doubts about it contact your doctor.

Right now, we actually have two medical abortion posts going on here at the same time. I think that you should read the other one, she is going through the same thing that you are right now. I think I will put this on her post too. You could talk to eachother about it.

I did start a "normal" period last night. I posted to the other girl, hoping that I could give her some relief... I know it's really a waiting game - some are more impatient than others!! It's like going past a due date for having a baby!!
