after 14yrs i feel the need to give up...

Please don't-don't give up.
You've had to endure much pain in your day, but this hopefully has, or will, make you a much stronger person. I know that it's cliche, and everyone says that, but if you've gone through what you have and are still here today that you are stronger than you will ever realize.

One thing is for sure-you should NEVER feel guilty or responsible for what has happened. And for your son, once again, not your fault. All you can do is be the best mother you can.

I can't imagine what it feels like to feel like this and be pregnant. Instead of thinking negatively you should be caring for yourself. Don't leave your son and your soon to be baby out there all alone.

I don't know you, but just from reading your post I konw that you are a wonderful beautiful and strong woman who can get through this.

I will pray for you. In the meantime, I hope that you rethink some things. Please don't let your mother's attitude or actions of the past have a present affect on you. Please seek some professional help and also know that we are all here for you...whenever you're feeling low and want to post, go right ahead. I'll continue to keep checking up and pray for you.

I know it seems like there is no way out of your black hole but you can't give up and children are not always better off without their birth Mother.  You have Depression and treatment is available.

I didn't get to read your post before you edited but I just wanted to respond to your "I never seem to get anything right"... Please try not to get that down about it, you weren't aware and you were just venting and I hope it felt better to get some things out. We have all made the same mistake and slipped up and said things that weren't allowed, it happens. Please don't let it discourage you from posting here anymore... I would like to know more and this is a really great site, full of wonderful people with some of the best advice I've ever received. If you want to vent more, we are still here to listen. Please stay with us.

Turn those thoughts around, try saying " I get a lot of things right...............I found this site and the members are great."

"I am still fighting for my life and want to make it better."

" I needed help and I reached out.........that was right"

You just keep on talking to us.  Using a board like this it is hard to be perfect as all boards are different so no beating yourself up my friend.

DO NOT GIVE UP!  I am new to this forum--in fact, you are my first post.  Please write back and we can chat!  I, too, am in a terrible depression.  We are not alone.  Thank goodness for this forum!  

Dear Everyone who has responded to me...I want you to know that I am alive and well...I have been seeking the treatment that I needed and have a good medication to assist me so I can be the best mom for my kids...It isn't about me anymore...and I felt that I was being selfish in letting the depression get me...so I challenge myself everyday...mostly I stay busy because the depressive thoughts are usually triggered by negative thoughts...so I am surrounding myself with optimistic people and living my life to the best of my ability every single day...I can say for once in a long time, I have found happiness...I hope that for all of you...I recommend doing things that you normally wouldn't do...I have really bad anxiety when it comes to talking in front of people....but I challenge myself to do something outside my comfort zone...and so I do Partylite shows...:)....so I have a crowd to talk in front of...I wish the best for everyone...thank you for caring at that time...and God Bless...
