So, you were told about
Sam-E? I've head about
it, but the only herbal aides for depp/anx that I've heard about
is St. John's Wort. What is it that you have and how is the Sam-E helping you? I can get it here, but was wondering how it affected ppl and whether it's worth the try. Then again, it's always better than screwing up your system permanantly, right?
I definately don't want to gain any more weight, I'm still fighting (kind of...) to lose the weight from my 2nd child. Keep binging once in awhile though, and am SO not motivated to exercise. In any case, I'm am deathly afraid of getting on something that makes my system unable to lose weight once off the medication. I was on paxil about 7 years ago, for about a year, but soon after that I went to a 1200 calorie(lowest ur supposed 2 go) eating plan, and lifted light weights to keep arms toned, did some squats, and lots of tummy work, and I got from 210lbs to 130lbs in 18 months. It was HARD at first, but 210lbs on a 5'4" frame is NOT very good. Kinda like a butterball turkey that walks...not pretty. But after #2, most of it came back and I'm down to 170lbs from 210lbs. KINDA trying for the past year, just need to get my eating habits under control, and eat properly 90% of the time. Everything in moderation, right?
My doctor wants me to try an antidepp/antianx med to try and curb my anx and OCD with one med, but the effects seem to make it totally insane to take! I mean, if I was dealing with suicidal tendancies, or PPD, or an extremely difficult death to deal with, then yeah, I'd take them. But for these things that I have? I don't think it's worth it!!
SO!! (yes, I ramble) what has the Sam-E done for you? And if anyone else is reading, is anyone out there taking anything else herbal to help with depp/anx or OCD even?? I'd love to know. The alternative is scary.
