Hi I'm Vanessa I'm 21. I have 3 wonderful children. I have had depression on and off for the the past few years. Within the past 6 months or so it's got bad. I'm a very good listener. I'm always here when someone needs me so feel free to come to me when you need someone to talk to. I can share stories with everyone about reasons why I am depressed. Well that's all for now if you want to know more or need someone to talk to I'm always here.

hi vanessa, xxdani and real, a warm welcome to the hw depression forum. we are all here to give guidance and peer support to one another, here at hw there is a great depth and understanding of depression, resources that we give, learn and suggest to one another. hopefully you have read some threads of posts to help you get the idea. there are no judgements, just compassion and care for one another.  looking forward to your posts, take care, and i will catch you soon. luv to you all. jamie, male, 37.

Welcome to HealingWell and the Depression Forum.

Support groups are a place for people to give and receive both emotional and practical support as well as to exchange information. People with health conditions, as well as their friends and families find support groups to be a valuable resource and get confirmation that their feelings are "normal", educate others, or just let off steam. IMHO joining a support group is joining a family.

Welcome to the family, we are thrilled to have you with us.

hi Vanessa, Welcome to the forum, you have come to a warm place with kind people here and you can share with us whatever you like. I'm available if you want to talk too, I have been suffering with depression for over 9 years now but I have come a long way and things are looking better now, but I like to try and stick around here and learn from the people's experiences as it does help me a lot. the community here and very thoughtfull people and you never get teased or feel ashamed because of what you have gone through or what you did.

real09, there is many ways you can communicate with people here, you can start your own thread and tell us about you, or you can just reply to others in the other threads or you can go into chat which is also available but you don't always find people online on the chat, we used to have a tuesday chat I think on 1 PM not sure if we still do that. also if you want you can find the e-mail of the members and use that to send an e-mail or chat with messenger. hope this help you, if you click on my ID you will see my e-mail address, but some people keep their e-mail address private.

Hi Vanessa,  I welcome you too and hope you will feel free to express your concerns to us and ask for help or support. There are so many wonderful people on this forum and they are very kind and willing to help.  I have suffered from depression for a long time and am going through a hard time right now which I am hoping will improve with working with my therapist. You mention that you have 3 children. I assume they are young.  Could it be possible you have post partum depression and don't realize it?  I imagine you are home all day with 3 children.  Maybe if you can get out of the house and go to a park or join a group of Moms where the kids can play that would help you.  And you could meet some friends too.  I hope you will post again and let us know how you are doing.  I wish you the very best and hope you find comfort in talking to us in this group.
