bad news..... about the king of pop

I don't know what to say I'm crying right now, the king of pop michael jackson has just died a short while ago :( he was an icon for me as a kid, I remember when I got a T-Shirt that has his picture when I was 8, and I used to watch his video thriller time after time, and beat it , and bele jeans.... his moon walk...

despite the wrong things he had done in his life, I found out now that I still love him... he was weak and he did wrong things, all of us do wrong things in some point in out lives, I'm not trying to justify what he did, just can't denie that I love him , he is a great icon. in case you don't know, he was accused of child molestation which I think he really did, he abused the power he had to do something that is not right, he also abused the money he had to change the color of his skin, which is really sad... and I think that's lead to his death I heard he got skin cancer as a result of these operations...

I'm not allowed to put any links, but you can just google "Michael Jackson" and you will get tons of stories about his death, they say he had cardiac arrest, and they tried to revive him but it didn't work. he was 50 when he died.

I found the news today made me feel very sad.  My son who died in 1990 was a great fan of Michaels and my son loved to dance and could do some M.J. moves. 

May he rest in peace.

I was getting ready for work this morning around 7.30am when this story broke. I was shocked, and saddened.

Whether or not Michael was guilty of what he was accused of, no one can say the man was mentally strong- he was clearly a fragile, delicate soul whose extreme talent, fame and fortune did not prevent him from living a life that was scrutinised and dogged my sadness, instability, and a lack of normality. He seemed to cut such a lonely figure.

Also- he left behind 3 young children who must be considered.

Also- Farrah Fawcett: Your brave and courageous battle with cancer astounded me. You defied the odds for so long. You fought the good fight and educated others about the reality of cancer. The world lost 2 icons today. And Farrah- your angel status is now real.

Amen, Maz.  Farrah truly fought a courageous battle and set a great example for so many who are dealing with a serious illness.

yeah, farrah fought a good battle. sorry about michael. a man, well in age, was very traumatised in his upbringing. sorry that he became insular and isolated from life and society. definately a soul that was misunderstood. pls remember that he gave a lot back to the community with his much non-recognised donations to charity. he will meet his maker, thus it is not for me to judge or assume negativities that have or have not happened. so, in respect to michaels passing, goodbye. jamie

do you find it strange how people who have been given extra ordinary talent, seem to have a lot of issues too? I guess it's a blessing and a curse at the same time.. michael was one of those, like enishtime and napilion and many others, who were extra ordinary people but they suffered from depresion or other issues, some of these people turn to drugs, others isolate themselfs or do something wierd..

I did my graduate paper on "The link between mental illness and creativity." I was astounded as i researched just how many creative, talented celebrities also suffered from different strains of mental instability. So this sadly- doesnt surprise me.
