hey the idea you got is a great one.

 

in adition to that you could probly go see her and put some of those wild flowers there at her grave and you could sit there and do some of that chating you were talking about. Its alil of the same but alil different so you can keep the tradition alive.

 

or you could go do the activity she loved most to do. besides being with you cause well you do that every day. lol

 

but just do me one favor.

 

tell her i said happy birthday.

 

my birthday is on the 31st of this month. dont know why i told you but anyway have a good day and dont let yourself get too far down.

Oh Jamie,

I am with you all the way on this one sweetie.  The anniversary of my son's death is on August 12th so I too will be doing something special.

Here are things I try to do..................I have always picked out a special song each year and will take my CD player to the cemetery and play the song for him.   I have let go balloons, and tied balloon boquets to his stone.  I have put out little statues of angels, one for each of his nieces and nephew (7 total)  He only had  the chance to meet the oldest one as it will be 19 years since the car crash this year. I always bring flowers and often choose one dozen red roses................

I have taken my lunch and sat down in the grass and just shared with him how everyone is and of course I cry.  I have taken pictures of family and laminated them and put them by his headstone. 

I have also placed memorials in our local paper but do not do that much anymore as the years have past and now most of the time it is just my private memorials I do for him.  He would have been 40 years old now if he had not died.

I feel what ever you choose to do will be the right thing for you and a wonderful tribute to your lady who left you way to soon.

So you are into vinyl huh?  Boy do I have some oldies you would love!  Like every Jimi Hendrix ever recorded, Pink Floyd before anyone ever heard of Dark Side of the Moon, Robin Trower, I really have some deep cut relics.............

I have a pink floyd vinyl called "umaguma".. Hardly anybody has ever heard it. It is so cool. I have tons of vinyl albums. Finally got a turntable so that I can listen to them.

That is soooo cooool. I am not the only one. A lot of people dont' even believe the album exists. I like the song about the fuzzy furry animals gathered in the woods grooving with a pict. Something like that.
