Physc is considering Wellbutrin and Zoloft???

Has anyone done this combo? I am on Zoloft 200 mg. Have been for on Zoloft for 10 yrs. Just recently bumped from 150/200 and still having some racing thoughts and a little depression and depressive thoughts. Ish. We tried Ablify and got so sick. I have a really sensitive stomach. I am thinking or hoping he would try the XL and I take it at bedtime with my Zoloft. I am wondering if anyone had anxiety from this med or stomach issues??? I have told then you are covering all 3 receptors. I would love to hear some success stories of this combo and how long you have been on it??? Thank you! Also I am in the process of trying to get 45 lbs off and also in October trying to conceive.  I hope this med is safe for pregnancy and doesn't make you gain weight. Was it made at first for people to stop smoking and then made for depression?  If this doesn't work we will have to try and find a sensitive to the gut mood stabilizer. I think some of you gave me some ideas in my last post. I will have to then research those... Thanks for those....:)

Wellbutrin actually made me really nauseous and dizzy within the first day of taking it, it did nothing at all for me as far as mood. But on the other side I had no withdraw effects so that was good. abilify made me a little nauseous at first but then subsided and is working well.

I'm on the Wellbutrin XL, Zoloft combo. I take 300 mg of Wellbutrin and 200 mg of Zoloft. I've been on this combo for about 6 mo. It helps me minimally to moderately, but in my world that is fantastic. I've gotten the best results from this combo that I've ever had from an antidepressant & I think I've been through them all. For whatever reason I just seem to be really resistant to antidepressants and some other medications.

One good thing about the combo is that the side effects of each of the meds kinda cancel each other out because zoloft is inhibiting, whereas wellbutrin is very activating. I haven't noticed any side effects whatsoever from the combo.

I am also going to research some more mood stabilizers before I meet with him too. I need to find the right combo. The problem is it's so hard on the stomach!!!!

I would like to welcome you to the depression forum. I think that welbutrin can cause some anxiety but everybody is different. And hopefully the zoloft will balance it out.

I tried welbutrin a couple of times, made food and everything taste funny and interfered with my sleep. But other than that, it made my mind really sharp. I did like that.
