sis in accident

my sis has been in a car accident, just got of the ph with mum. found out earlier, apparently lucky. she was driving her boyfriends car, they went to albury for the long w/e. car is a right off, air-bag has cracked her jaw, had minor surgery as her face has been cut. glass i gather. she is out of surgery, she will be kept o/n. mum said they have left the jaw alone, i'd say because of swelling. no other injuries confirmed, should be discharged in the morn. my ph was beeping when i was talking with mum, probably the bf updating mum. will stay up for updates, she is shook up, but alive. god bless air-bags!!! keep you guys updated, thx, jamie.

thx indeed, it takes me back to an accident i had in a 4wd in my young days. i too was lucky, 4 it was an old series 2 landrover, 2 and a half tonnes worth, my seatbelt was military style, no give or slack, i went down a cliff...... leave it at that, just brings me back. my truck was a right off as well. jamie.

So sorry to hear about your sister, but I'm glad to hear she has minimal injuries. I will be praying for her & your family that she will heal quickly and that things will be back to normal in no time.

thx guys, has trauma to 1 ear, some loss, she may be flown to melbourne. mum says she is getting cranky with the hosp. this is her 2 a tee, this is good. will update, thx everyone. jamie

Hey, what an awful shock for you.  Hope your sis recovers soon.  Know how you must be feeling...my sis was in a bad car accident, a truck slammed into her and pushed her sideways for some distance.  She was lucky to be alive.  When I found out I had a huge 'knot' in my stomach, but lucky her injuries were minimal. Someone must have been watching out for her that day!... Still remembering the accident still haunts her.
