OFF TOPIC:
This has been pissing me off lately and has been bringing me street, anxiety, and depression.
What happened to entry level jobs?
Seriously, I have been trying to find a simple decent paying entry level job to replace the one that I have now.
Please I understand that I should be thankful for having a job in today's economy, and I am. However I hate it. I feel worthless, useless, and my Boss ensures to make me feel those emotions tenfold.
So with that being said, seeing as this is a National Forum I wanted to ask if this is happening everywhere as well as here in Reno NV.
Seeing that the position pays low, and the position is also the lowest on the totem pole at the place of business. Would this be considered an Entry Level Job?
Wrong, employers want someone with at least 2 years of experience for the job.
Something as simple as a Grocery bagger these days requires experience in the Supermarket field before being considered. Want to work at McDonalds, have no restaurant experience, sorry we are looking towards a candidate with more experience.
Minimum wage in reno is almost 9 dollars now. So a position that is offering 10 would be considered entry level wright? Wrong.
Thats a high end position these days in Reno. If you make more than 30k a year your a high roller.
I think it is time to move.
How are the other cities holding up in this country?
