I remember being a teenager and how hard it is. You feel old enough for a lot of things, you feel like it is taking forever to "grow up" because in so many ways you already feel grown up. Most adults just don't seem to understand your thoughts, feelings, and so on and it sucks big time.
Sadly the one thing teens do not understand, and won't for many years, is how much the adults do really remember about what it was like to be a teenager, and a lot of what they tell you about things you should be doing or not doing is because, more often than not, they learned the hard way by doing the same things you are wanting to do at the same age and got hurt from it.
My suggestion to you is to sit down with your Mom and talk to her about how you feel and ask her why she feels the way she does about this. It probably won't get her to change her mind but if she is open and honest about it, you should come away with a new understanding.
Regardless, as hard as it is respect your Mom's decision on this and by doing so earn her trust so when you are older you can better enjoy having a relationship with a guy and more fully experience what it is like to fall in love.
Besides if nothing else in 4 short years you will be 18 and legally an adult. At that point it is up to you to call the shots, but on the flip side of that is that it is up to you to bear all the responsibility for your decisions.
