Cymbalta - 60 MG (I need help asap, feels like i am dying)

I have just started taking Cymbalta, 60mg, i noticed that soon after i took it, i started feeling very dizzy (the room was spinning) & i vomited, that was yesterday & i have not taken any more since, i still feel very dizzy, have bad diareah, cold chills/sweats, nausea feeling, any ideas when this will stop? I also noticed the nausea/dizzy feeling goes away when i lay down, but when i get up it comes right back. Please don't tell me i have "Serotonin Syndrome"??? is there anything i can do help alleviate any of these symptoms? I can only sleep an hour or so at a time. This is very scary stuff, hence why i have not taken any more. I am gonna switch right away. Please tell me there is a light at the end of the tunnel....

maybe cymbalta is not right for you. i had similar experiences for around 2 weeks when i was on it. best you check with your doctor. with compassion, jamie.

Did your doctor start you out at 60 mg?

If he did this may be your problem. Many people experience a lot of side effects, which you have mentioned, when started at this level. In fact the dosing guidelines for Cymbalta indicate that it should be started at 30mg and then after several weeks increased in 30 mg increments until the desired results are obtained with 120 mg being the max daily dose.

Also when stopping this medication it needs to be done slowly to avoid some unpleasant side effects.

I am quite familiar with the drug as I took it for many years. Not for depression but for nerve related pain.
