Thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate it.
I am what they call a Third Culture Kid (TCK) or a Global Nomad. A lot of my experiences and the pain I have gone through are similar to what other TCKs and Global Nomad's have gone through:
http://www.worldweave.com/procon.htm#anchor5249130The world is changing at a very fast pace. Traditionally, the Magellan's, Marco Polo's and Christopher Columbus's did all the travelling and sailing all over the world while the rest of us stayed in the towns and villages we are born in. The world is increasingly mobile. Familiies are getting displaced all over. We consider change to be a normal, natural and desirable part of our lives.
But too much change brings about
it's own problems. And I feel that few people understand or appreciate this.
For someone like me who left my country when I was 12 with my parents and have been living by myself since the age of 14 without parents or relatives around me, this change has been a very difficult experience. As the years have gone by I have found it increasingly difficult to feel a sense of home, comfort or belonging anywhere.
Anyway, the experiences of the girl in the link that I posted above talks about
having very similar issues and problems that I struggle with.
