Hi all! I am looking for some advice on what to do about some hallucinations I've been experiencing, or even just hearing other peoples experiences :)
From about 7-10 years old I experienced hallucinations (feeling bugs crawling all over me, hearing the piano play in the middle of the night, seeing letters all over the walls etc): but they stopped after 10 years old. I am now 16 and have been diagnosed with depression, but the problem is the hallucinations have come back. For about week they were only in the night, but now they are starting to occur in the day too. They are usually seeing patterns on the walls, feeling like someone has touched my face, hearing people talking etc. But they are no where near as severe as they used to be, and they only last about 5 seconds at a time. I am currently not on any medication and my counsellor does not know about any of this. At first I thought psychotic depression but I am not delusional and I know my hallucinations are not real.
So should I tell someone or do you think they will go away if I give it time like when I was younger? They don't get in the way of my normal life so is there really a need? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thank you for any replies!
