Do you realize how priceless this forum is to a person new to Psychology/ Psychiatry or in college learning to be a mental professional?

I tell all my doctor about this awesome place, but I bet not one of them took the time to check it out for themselves or their other patients. I even told my Psychologist about this site... Wow! Imagine if she is reading this and knows who I am...I'd be in so much trouble! Hahahaha...LOL

Please spread the good word to all your family, friends and doctors!

Actually everyone old or new to the mental health profession can benefit from true, raw and uncensored (to a degree) feelings from people who would otherwise not share their pain and suffering with others.

A part of me really hopes my doctors would check this awesome site out and read my true feelings and recognize me as their patient.

Has anyone else shared this site with their doctors who then took the time and discovered their patients' posts?

I have shared with my primary doc (my fibro), my PM doc (CP) and my therapist (MDD PTSD) about this wonderful online support forum that has hlped me so much over 7 years.

NOT ONCE have they asked me what the forum was!!! It has truly surprised me that they would not want their patients to access as many resources as possible. I guess I grossly overestimated their involvement in my and others' care.

Just another disappointing experience with American health care for my part. I have since changed my therapist and am going to change my primary also. Maybe the second time is the charm.

Yes this is a great site for support and caring...especially when dealing with anything long
term, especially depression... I do think doctors should check this website out, so they can see how people
actually feel and what their patient lives might be like...it could be an eye opener for some doctor's...
Hope this site is around for a very long time...as it is helping...
