Hi again!
Wellbutrin is bupropion. It's a class of its own. It's not an ssri or ssni. It's used for treating depression and for people who wants to stop smoking. It's a relatively soft AD.
For my part, I never took AD before it was the first time for me. The first few days were really intense! I felt weird, headache, nausia, very poor appetite and nervesnous. I toughted it out and after a week, the headaches stoped and a little less anxiety. Every week felt better. The appetite is still low that's why I'm still loosing weight and still get nausia sometimes. It took about
6 weeks for the libido to kick in. Like I said, I still wasn't very joyfull and didn't feel like doing anything so the Cipralex helped get my good mood back and calm the anxiety caused by Wellbutrin. I never had problems sleeping. Just with the Cipralex I tend to have dreams sometimes, not always but sometimes I dream and boom! Something in my dream startles me and wake up suddenly. Other then that, I feel great! I still have down days but most of the time, I don't even feel I have major depression so it's good for me.
I'm somebody that doesn't like talking about
me either and my therapist also encouraged me to speak out and it really helps. It's hard but I'm working on it all the time. The therapy does wonders! Keep at it! The meds help the symptoms but therapy helps the cause of depression. You're on the good path and you're not alone. We have all been through this too. I was really scared to take the meds but I'm glad I did and now I'm working hard to get off them! I will win this battle with time
Take care,
Caroline
