One of the bravest things we do to get better is work on a relationship with our therapist; so they can help work with us.
You did a fine thing sticking through the first session, it will get easier as you have been told already.
Journaling helps, it also gives your therapist a starting point if you don't feel like talking; you hand her/him your journal or copies of pages you would not mind talking over.
