My ex and i broke up aprox 4 months ago. We were together for a year and a half. I loved him very much, he loved me. We had a future planned. We thought we were meant to be & everyone around us told us we were meant for eachother. Now, were both young 24&25. Both still immature in ways. & we liked to party alot. We drank alot.. Our relationship was great for the first year. Then we both let ego get in the way, & stopped putting in any effort when we neeeded it most. I'm very stubborn and he;s very stubborn. So it kind of began to become a game of who had the upper hand. (very immature) ... anyways, regardless of our childish games, we never cheated or anything that would cause a major break up. but it just stopped working.. due to our immature fights, and drinking.

We broke up, we were stll in love with eachother when we broke up..

Now, its been 4 months and very rocky!!!! I was so depressed over him.

I blocked and deleted him off facebook, twitter so i could finally get over him.

But every so often he would text me, either something like "come get your things". or something to start a fight.

He'd text me some very nasty things, very disrespectful and being very immature. I told him to stop texting me and leave me alone and he said he would. This has been going on since we broke up (4 months).. On Christmas he texted me a long apology for everything mean he has ever said to me and i accepted. A week later, his disrespectful, emotional abusive text messages started up again. and i said 'enoughs enough already, stop messaging me! we been broke up for months now" and his response was "ill only stop when i stop hearing about you so stay the *beep* in Sackvillle" (Where im from).. Yet he messaged a friend of mine on facebook asking how i was doing?

So i changed my number. Now he's blocked from facebook, twitter, & no longer has my number...

Can someone explain to me this type of behaviour!!!!!!! does he still have feelings towards me but is acting out in an agressive way because he doesnt know how else to show it? What is his deal?

I removed a few words out of your post because we aren't suppose to discuss any illegal drugs on this forum.  Thanks in advance for understanding.

It sounds like he is immature. I am glad that you stopped him from being able to contact you. I think yo would get farther ahead in life if you forget about him and move on. I know it sounds strange, and you do wonder what he is thinking. You will figure it out down the road in time. Work on you now. Decide what you would like to do next. Move on to bigger and better things. Don't drink, if you are. It only makes you depressed.

PS  I wanted to add about the drinking.  It may have been the reason for a lot of your arguments.  My first husband and I drank in the beginning of our relationship and we fought all the time until we quit drinking.  It does cause a lot of drama in your life.  Drama that you can live without...

Well I completely understand your situation. First it does sound like your still in love with him. Yes maybe he does need help, afterall thats why we are here on this site. I would have to guess he still loves you and wants to work things out. maybe he just has not figured himself out yet. Have you asked him to get any help? it sounds like if you guys both had help then maybe things could be strong again for you both. Anyway I think your pretty strong person and I really hope you guys can work things out.

Yes i still have very strong feelings for him. I wish things were different between us. I tried talking to him at the beginning of the breakup and i litterely begged for him back but he rejected me. So i was so heartbroken for months, now finallly im at ease with the breakup but i don't understand him continually contacting me bringing up old negative problems we had is his way of still caring. In a text he sent me the other day he said "I know you and i know you need someone to guide you like me. Thats fine if you dont want it im just saying if you listen to me you'll get further. I know what you need and what needs to be said to you" but also in the same text he said alot of harsh things like I'm dumb & i dont get it. & i asked him to stop texting me that same night.. the next morning i woke up to a text of him saying his friends told him i "liked" his pictures on facebook & he said he would make my life miserable.. so thats when i changed my number
.. i know anyone would said he's immature, emotional abusive and disrespectful. & he is all of those things, but there was a time when he was my bestfriend and we brang out the best in eachother. He does have a good heart and he is a good person, just a complete idiot when he drinks.

Right now what im hoping for is by me changing my number & him having no way in contacting me, i can't react and some how he will come to his senses and realize after time that was the wrong way in approaching me. I'm basically hoping for a miracle that some day we'll be together again

There is always that chance that some day you might be together again, if he stops drinking though. My first husband was mean when he drank. He stopped drinking and we were together for 23 years until he died of cancer. But right now I think you need to move on. I am glad you blocked his number and that he can't contact you at this time. If it is meant to be, it will. But in the meantime, work on you. Take good care of you...
