antidepressants withdrawal

Hello,

Ive finished my 6 months treatment on 26th of August. I have awful headaches every day when i wake up for the last week. I feel dizzy,im sensitive to light,my vision is blurred and my eyes are hurting my also. I feel very discomfortable. I have also mood swings. These are symptoms of antidepressants withdrawal,isnt it? Does anyone knows if theres something i can do for it?

You either have to go on another medication, or rough it out. It takes a couple of weeks to go away, Sorry you are going through this.

Jeoch, drink plenty of water that usually helps with the eyes.
call your doc if it gets untolerable.

hey there,

I guess it depends if your going off your medication with your doctor or on your own. I went off my medication on my own accord once because i thought i was better (aha apprently this was BECAUSE the medication was working but whatever) and i experinced all of those sytptoms and freaked out and went straight back to my tablets after a week. I would suggest you go off your meds on your doctors adive. I just lower your dosage slowly. or you can tough it out. but thats easier said then done. I became so disattached from reality when i was coming off them i tried to kill myself!! going off medication is dangerous because it can amplfie your illness! please pleaqse be careful. mabey stay home for a couple days! keep the fluids up! and best of luck.

Hello!

Victoriaannemargret, i actually didn't want to take any medication but finally i agreed for 6 months treatment and i finished it. I didn't stop gradually,and my doctor didn't advice anything about that.He just prescribed a 7th box in case of emergency.
Trina, feeling discomfort but im trying to keep myself busy so i forget. I take long walks and take pictures,i cook and etc. Thank you for your interest.
