Good morning all .........
Only one dog on todays drive ...... but ....... it's time for a confession!!!!
JB isn't the only one to have a recent decluttering experience. I don't know what in the world it is or was ... but it certainly smelled like something died in my refrigerator for a few days. I've seen some movies where there was green stuff growing on some meat ... but that wasn't it. Spoiled milk ... Rotten eggs ... no - it's a mystery!!!
Now I did have some fresh sole in the meat compartment - that I forgot about. And then there's the open can of anchovies for my pizza (no not cauliflower pizza). I was afraid to check it - but finally did - and I actually had the foresight to put the open can in a small freezer bag.
I realize that fish, no matter what type, does not get better when it's aged! I'm not sure how many months either of those have been in there but I'm sure it was sometime in 2013.
So the plan was ... first to pick-up two boxes of baking soda - not one! Spread some baking soda on each of two paper plates - then put on my surgical mask (I had three left over from something - don't remember what) - then put one plate in the freezer and one plate in the refrig section.
But before I could do that, I needed to take a couple of puffs of albuterol ... and then one very deep breath. open the doors - place the plates - close the doors - then get Gizzy and get the hell out of my house for a while!
That was Thursday night or local garbage night. So I did start by emptying the freezer - everything had to go!!! Thank God, I found some air freshener when we went back into the house.
Now, it's Saturday morning ... and I haven't had the courage to open either door yet. It's been take-out time for days now!!!!!!!
Maybe I'll do a sniff check today. I still don't know what that horrendous smell was!
On that note ...... hope everyone has a good day!
It's only 56 degrees here .... hmmm!
