Wow that last thread went by fast!!!  I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful weather today.

Keep posting here!  It is the first place I come in the mornings.  But not always awake enough to post.  lol..

Hi Karen and All:

I pretty much wasted my 3 day weekend.  I didn't get any laundry done and I sat around watching tv.  I have had of lot of low energy lately because of the depression.  I did visit my friend in the psych hospital however, and I really felt for her.  She has Bi-Polar and she stopped taking her meds. a few months ago and I guess everything just caught up to her.  She has lost over 40 lbs. and I could actually feel her helplessness....if that makes any sense.  The floor she was on was very cold...institution-like and the nurses stood in front of her and I and discussed her as if she wasn't even there.  Talk about making a person feel like a non-person!  At this point she really just needs support and I would have expected that she would have gotten at least a little of that there. She is getting out tomorrow but I am still really worried about her.  She has some family issues awaiting her at home and I think she will have a hard time.

Anyway, I myself started feeling a little better this afternoon.  My daughter is home from college this weekend.  She also no longer eats meat and is extremely picky.  So I found a recipe and put it together in the crock pot.  And then I made a separate supper for my other daughter and I.  I'm not much of a cook but just doing something different was a little fun.  I feel a bit better tonight. 

I guess actually making yourself move around and do things is the best way to go.  I honestly don't know why I make it hard on myself.

Hey Cass,

Kudos to you for cooking all that food when you don't normally cook much... That is awesome!!! I see nothing wrong with kicking back on a weekend especially if there isn't anything that you have to do. You deserve it. You are hard on yourself. Lighten up and let yourself enjoy life... I think you are getting there my friend...

You can always get a little bit of laundry done while you are doing other things. If you have a washer and dryer at home. I don't so I got to go to the Laundromat. Fun, fun, fun... And I always put it off until there is a ton to do. Oh well, will deal with that when it gets here. Right???

I hope that you have a good evening. Take care and be good to yourself. You deserve it... I am proud of your accomplishments.

Feeling like I'm being torn in two literally, two of my doctor's do not agree and the one cancelled his appointment I had with him this week. I understand the cancellations but, not being able to reschedule right away is rude I had this appointment book four months ago. very frustrated and depressed cornering me.

Good morning all ........

   Yep ... Summer is gone. Crazy but I have one Regosa Rose bloom blooming now ...... ???

   This mornings ride was OK - but the highlight was the Pumpkin spice coffee .... never tried it before! The Border Collie across the street must be "stuck-up" .... sort of like the female owner! Poor Giz wanted to go visit but the Collie just turned it's head and went back home. The Lab pup behind us though got into a staring session with Gizzy ... maybe we can meet someday!

   Wow ..... lot's of doctors appointments today! Wish everyone has a good visit (if there's such a thing)!

   Hey Cass ....... I remember so well visiting my Mother in the psych ward of the hospital just a little over a year ago. There was one nurse there who seemed to care, but all the others were distant ... and the atmosphere was very institutiional. You have to be buzzed in ... to get into that ward ... felt like an asylum! So sorry for you.

   HEY JAMIEE ...... IS IT GETTING WARMER DOWN UNDER YET?

   Very dreary here and about 50 degrees out. Hope some of you have a more cheerful start to your day.

MMMM, Pumpkin Spice coffee. We bought a pound this weekend, and mix it with regular.

Went to therapist this morning, and finally admitted to another human being my telephone issues. My homework for this week is to practice phone calls, stay active and find some information out about starting a business.

Oh, and to let my bf deal with his own anxiety.

Then went and bought a new winter hat, and to the Asian grocery. We are 75 and sunny here... gorgeous.

If its in the morning and I'm not doing very well I just let the phone ring.... I can't deal with the concentrating, listening, conversing and thinking that is required when I don't know who is on the other end.
And how am I doing today? I'm moving around more.... I twisted the wrong way Sunday night and woke up yesterday unable to get out of bed without a lot of pain. It seems like this happens about once a year or so. Each day it gets a little better.
I hope you don't mind my jumping into the conversation.

Hi all, back from the neurologist, all the tests are negative, so the weakness and pain I have in my legs is from the abilify apparantly.

Was taking 15mg a day, now down to 5mg, still no change in side effects, but could take awhile to lessen, since it took months to build up and appear.

Hi everyone!

I'm so jealous reading of all these low temperatures. We are still in the high 80's low 90's. Supposed to have a cool front coming through tomorrow. We will see.....

I'm really feeling my lack of abilify. My doctor won't prescribe anything else in its place over the phone. So, I guess I will be making an appointment soon. I'm just on edge all the time- anyone else feel this way?

Hi Tjay,

I hear you on the phone. Pardon the pun... I never want to answer it... Whether it is morning or evening.

Michele, I hope you find something that works as well as the abilify. Risperdol is similar.

Trina, I am glad your tests are negative. I hope you don't have what I have, fibromyalgia. It makes you tired and weak. Lots of pain.

Thanks everyone for the support. Eye doctor's appointment went good! The Macular Degeneration is stable for now, no worsening. However, he did keep saying it's still bad for my age group. I'm just glad it's not worsening! So a small woohoo, for now...
I see my counselor tomorrow, got worked in and hope that helps my mood...

Trina/BnotAfraid, so very good nothing neruo is going on there, sorry about it being your meds causing you the problems, but at least there are other meds for you to try, so a big WOOHOO and keep hope another medicine can help you.

Good Morning ......
I'm slowly being weaned off my medications. I told the P-doc that they were not doing anything for me, so I decided it would be best to just discontinue them. I'm looking for more natural ways to combat my depression and have found two very good books that are helping me tremendously with some very good ideas on lifestyle changes and supplements that will assist rid me of this state that I'm in.
Hope all of you are doing well today. Say a prayer for me....

I hope you all have a good day. Trina, I am glad your appointment yesterday went well. I got a flu shot, but I swear that the nurse hates me. It hurts and itches and there is a bump. It went under the skin instead of into the muscle. I think she did it on purpose.

Good morning all .......

   Another gloomy day in the midwest ...... reminds me too much of Winter - except it's too warm for Winter ..... ugh - for Winter!!!!

   We got a late start today - 8am ride - not one doggy spotted but Gizzy was OK with that! He got me up at 5:30am the little angel .....!!!! Then we napped together from 7am to 8am .... funny way of doing things!!!

   I have a support group meeting tonight - Men with Cancer. It'll be my second time with this group, and I'm looking forward to it.

  

   Welcome to several new folks at the daily thread. Hope everyone has a great day.

Michelle ... hope the cool front comes in - I remember those 6-month long Summers in the Tampa Bay area ... same exact stuff for 6-months. At least, the hurricane season should be over by next month.

I forgot,

I slept until 8:30 this morning. Probably because of the rain. But I did have a med adjustment yesterday. So I am hoping I can start sleeping a little later. Getting tired of getting up at 4:00.

Thanks Rob.  I am probably imagining it, I refered to her as Nurse Jackie once to another nurse.  So I am feeling guilty.  Her name is Jackie...

Hey everyone

Just wanted to say hi and hope y'all are doing ok.

BIL (who is in hospice but has recently started sitting up and actually ate 2 bites of grite) is having his "honeymoon" period before the end. Anyway, his lovely daughter has been staying with us for 10 days and counting. I am so ugly-I am so resentful cause she is staying in my room and my whole routine is out of whack. I mean I am not ugly to her but I wish she would go home. Is that ungrateful or what?

She is sweet but seems content to sit and read. Remember My hub just had 3 surgeries and can do NOTHING so it falls on me.

I am gald she gort to see her Dad conscious and make peace. We are waiting on other daughter-how LONG will she stay.

I am a real B>>>>>. Stress is causing alot of pain so that accounts for part of my mood

Thanks for letting me vent

Will write soon when things calm down.

Car broke down this morning had to call hubby home to help, he gave me his car and he had a tow to the dealer with the other one, I hope it's not going to be an expensive repair! Why can't dealers have good faith prices...

Guests are like fish. Is that how it goes? After a few days they start to stink??? I heard that somewhere. I hope she leaves soon so you can get your room back. Is there another one going to stay? That has to be so hard for you. I am glad you are hanging in there.
