Hello everyone ....

I am currently reading a book by Dr. Andrew Weil, MD, called "Spontaneous Happiness" which is a book on Depression. One of the supplements he recommends is Omega-3 Fish Oils and Vitamin-D, in addition to regular exercise and an anti-inflammatory diet. It really is a wonderful book, and I have found it to be so very helpful and encouraging. One of the major culprits I have uncovered regarding my own depression and its effects is the side effects of Lyrica, which I have been prescribed for my diabetic peripheral neuropathy. One of the major side effects is new or worsening Depression. Needless to say, I do plan on discontinuing the medication as it has had a real negative impact on my health.

   If you have kids that are somewhere between 25 and maybe 40, you know that mild-mannered gentleman. He does have an interesting war record that's seems unbelievable. Maybe more about tht later!

   Why did I think of that???

   I had a wonderfull day in the neighborhoood - sort of!!!! A 4-hour doctor visit with a chemo treatment, a few shots and then ............ tried a pretzel roll chicken sandwich for a late lunch and then ........... had a 3-hour nap!

   Holy ****, it's 6pm!!!

   Hope everyone had somekind of a productive day today!

Whew ........!!!!!!!

Don't ever trust a rumor .........

   Years ago, from a well-informed friend, I received an e-mail that nearlt blew my mind!

   It was about Fred Rogers (TV's Mr. Rogers) ... and it stated with pictures of him as a very highly decorated Marine or Navy Seal ...... that beat Audy Murphy's WWII incredible record.

   I just ....... googled that dude ....... and everything was a lie!!!! He never even served in the armed forces.

   Or ........ is this really a Wikepedia rumor ....... started by the CIA?

   Hmmmmm!!!!

   I'm getting depressed!

   Do they make a Super-Lexapro!

   I'm getting tired .... you know Dep tire!

Good morning all ........

   It's yet another gloomy day in these parts .... but it's fairly mild out - forgot to check the temp.

   It seems like Gizzy's preference is to get me up before 6am. I give him his morning water ... then we both go to the sofa and watch some TV - maybe a short nap ... and lately, he bugs me to go out for his ride by 7am. Then there is his routine pee ... the ride ... and back at home for his poo before going back in ........ Now wasn't that a fun trip?

   This morning's ride, we did see one mixed breed and one tubby tan  chihuahua. The chichuahua must have been snacking like me for the past few weeks!!!

   After getting home, the bicycle path below had on mixed breed walking (a one howl dog) and then the Lab pup - maybe 40-pounds now (a two howl dog). The neighbor waved at us ... so, some day our dogs will get to meet I'm sure.

  It sounds like several of you have some positive things going right now ... glad to hear that.

P.S. ..... some are picking the Red****s to beat the Bears tomorrow! Oh - oh ...... sounds like it may be a tough game. I wonder when the animal activists are going to get together ... and I have to call them the Chicago Hibernators?

Hi all

The Redskins are now my favorite team because of Bob Costas' stupid comment. He's been a commentator for years and it never bothered him before. Why make such a asinine comment now. He's a total A**. Just my personal opinion.

I think I love Lexapro and Cerefolin NAC I don't know which one is working probably a combination of both! I feel great! I got up this morning took a shower without forcing myself to. I don't have that awful feeling of dread that usually plagues me.

Trip my eldest and most spoilt cat has taken his place on my desk in front of the computer monitor, I think this is his way of telling me to pay attention to him. He'll stay there all day if I am on the PC. Jesse my beautiful black cat is as usual begging for food even though she was fed 15 minutes ago . Maggie my youngest is sitting on the back of my chair cleaning my hair, I guess she does not think my shower was enough.

Ok I'm not meaning to bring everyone down today but I started my day on a crappy note literally. I slept in and when I woke up, my dog had diarrhea all over my living room. The dishes are piled high in the sink and 2 kids are just laying around.

I work two jobs and I do it all around here. Cook, clean, grocery shop, worry about finances, work two jobs, take care of the animals, etc. Not one person helps.

I've reached that breaking point. I've got nothing left to give. I'm just done. I want to crawl in bed and just fade away. But oh I can't. Who will clean the house?

Sorry to rain on y'all's good day. Just nothing like being exhausted and under appreciated. Well gotta go clean.

Oh they are old enough- 16 and 17. I guess I just expect them to help out every once in a while out of the goodness of their hearts. I forget how self centered teens are.

I'm just sitting here watching reruns of Roseanne. Usually it gets me out of a funk. Today I'm crying while I watch it. I need to get off my bum and clean house. I just feel so empty. I mean there is really nothing left.

I know it will pass but I hate feeling this way. It hurts. It's like I am letting the stupid depression win today.i have no strength left to fight it. Do you ever just let it win because you can't fight it?

Bad night last night. MAde an Indian-spiced dal that disagreed with my crohns and had a bad food reaction. Spent much of the night up and down and finally moved to the couch because I was bothering BF.

It's weird. In my twenties I totally couldn't eat lentils. Vomit each time. But, lentils haven't been bothering me. But the yellow split peas were bad for me, but oh so good.

BF away at class today, so I lolly-gagged. Watched a movie, doing dishes. Still feel poorly. Bought a 6 pack of pumpkin ales, so we can do our annual taste-testing (we do this every year near halloween). We won't be doing it any time soon, unless my system recovers. I am not supposed to have beer, either, which bites.

Tonight, a jazz concert. I have a fun recipe for tomorrow-a stuffed and baked pumpkin. Football, of course. Will be thinking about you, Rob, as your Bears demolish my Skins. It's Steelers/Ravens as well, so we will be busy. Also, a true OktoberFest in town. I was going to go today, but felt too ill to have both good German food and beer.

Scratch the cats for me. Michelle, yesterday was my melt-down day. I get it.

HEY GUYS, SAME OL SAME OLD. MUGGY DAY HERE. BEEN TRYING TO COOL DOWN TONIGHT. WALKED BUTTONS DONE SOME DISHES AND STUFF. MY NEIGHBOUR IRENE COOKED ME A LOVELY ROAST CHICKEN, YUM. MY SIS ALSO VISITED AND WE CHEWED THE FAT A LITTLE. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SAY G'DAY. HAVE A NICE DAY MY HW BUDDIES.

You know that old saying about "I haven't had enough coffee yet"?

   Well ..... just realized I wrote the daily thread on Happy Beans post! What a putz!!! Coffee must be weak today.

   Hey Myself ...... that jazz concert sounds good. I miss the music I used to be involved with. While not jazz ... I missed a local tribute to Earth, Wind and Fire that was on a few weeks ago ... during my nausea time! That group was so tight - and so much life to their style.

   One reminder ..... this morning I saw the Redskins were favored by 1-1/2 points. You tryin to set me up????

I'm still feeling great! I love Lexapro!

 

I took a shower went to Wal-Mart to fill my prescriptions, I've been going there for years and the ladies know me there and when they filled the prescription for the laxative I have to take for my colonoscopy they told me I won the customer of the month award and had to pay for it. The award was the laxative. LOL  I told them to take my name out of the hat for next month's drawing.

 

Trip is sitting here in front of the monitor again and Maggie had to help me brush my teeth this morning she jumped up on the sink and watched every move I made. Jesse jumped on me today and licked my nose For some reason she likes to lick my nose, she won't lick anything else she just goes for the nose.  

 

Oh my goodness, ROB! Who knew? I haven't been well the past few days, and didn't know the line. Well, that was unexpected. Too many injuries for da bears.

Kitties! I do miss my girls. Catter used to lay on my chest as I was reading at night. Floyd would actively groom my BF, but not me (I think she liked the 'fur' of his arm), and she would watch him shave every morning.

Karen, some noodle soup would be great. I tend to freeze components of meals, but not meals themselves. I really need to be better about that, now we have the deep freeze running.

The jazz was nice, local CC professor's ensemble. Free, and good.

BF bocked out of dye-ing his mustache.

Eating pumpkin seeds has made my crohns flare, again. Not a good-health day. Just took a hot bath with epsom salts, and some hydrocodone. Well, I sat in the bath and swallowed the pill.

So, soon, I shall sleep.
