Dential issues

Well I have never liked my smile as my teeth have always been bad.

Over the years I have had root canals and had a bunch pulled now out here in cali I am on state insurance and they took away the dental insurance. Well now instead of going to have the 11 or 12 teeth pulled I have left one by one or two by two I found out that the state will re instate some dental in May of this year so I am now going to wait as long as I can so I can have not only the few I have pulled but surgery to take to teeth out of my jaw on the top.

I am depressed yet happy.

I dont want to wait any longer but if I go forward now and leave the teeth in my jaw they can work there way into my sinuses and cause a bigger mess.

So here I am waiting for May to come around so I can have the state pay a surgeon to take those teeth out.

My mouth is sore but I want to do most everything at once.

I will end my vent now.

Hang in there hon. Can you afford to get them out one or two at a time? I know it is expensive. May seems like a long ways off but time goes by so fast, it will be here in no time.

I wish you the best and no toothaches until you can get them out. There will be no more aches then...

There's not a program or dentists that will work on a sliding cost? The er gave me the name of a dentist who gave me antibiotics and pulled the tooth for 30 dollars. Maybe you should ask them.

you poor bugger. i know all about teeth and painful rotten ones as well. it took 21 visits to have mine out. i was lucky that i found a program through a charity that had dentists do the work for free and the charity paid some of the fees. oh and the dentures. i feel for ya mate. many healing thoughts i send to you. sorry not in your country so i can't recommend anything but you can ask your church / charities for assistance, that's how i found out about mine. they don't like to advertise if ya know what i mean. all the best.

   If there is a chance of having an absess .... please get it taken care of asap! A bad tooth can create a lot of problems - and a lot of expenses. If you can wait til May, I understand the economics very well. It may be worth waiting if you feel you can deal with all the 11 or 12 teeth out at the same time - or close to it.

   Long ago, I had partials on the top and bottom. Then, it became necessary for me to have major work - so the balance of the top + a couple from the bottom were removed .... a total of 14-teeth all at one sitting. It was good to have it all over with at one time ... for a plate on top and a slightly larger partial on the bottom.

   It is a very personal decison to make - just don't let an absess happen or go without attention.

   I too have had sinus problems for a long time with major surgery on the sinuses 15-years ago .... so I can appreciate the added problem.

I dont have any infection at the moment but I can get the four teeth pulled that give me the most trouble maybe the fifth also. I will have to do that in one sitting and I cant even do that for a couple weeks.

The pain I have found out is from my night time teeth grinding. Yikes had no clue I did that.

Well I will keep everyone updated when I have one.

i too was a grinder. bit hard to do now!! i hope you get those teeth pulled asap missjd. my grinding was not at night it was when i was suffering psychosis.

Speaking of Abcessed teeth, My tooth was throbbing and I went to the dentist this morning and that is what I am being treated for. Antibiotic and Pain Medicine. Go back in a week to re-xray and if not better I will have to go to a Root Canal Specialist to get the Root Canal Retreated. Hoping the Antibiotics work.

A/V I am so sorry for your pain. My teeth and jaw have settled back down so it is not an issue here. Now its my danged allergies. Oh boy!

I take 2 allergy meds a day but being a smoker I also have chronic sinus infections. As long as the weather permits I am fine but it feels like spring here in California so the pollen is high here again.
