Michele, the ribs turned out good. My husband picked them out and they were really meaty. Now I am tired... But glad I cooked them.

Karen- I am glad that your dinner turned out so good for you. I am not a big pork eater but still sounds good.

Lynx- I am sorry that you are not feeling well, I agree with Karen you should really talkto your doctor about how you are feeling. I am also sorry that someone that you are friends with is keeping things from you, that is hard to take and so very wrong.

Well I am very sore and very bruised tonight. My dad is worried but it is normal to be sore after a fall like I took so I am not gonna run to the doctor over like he wants me too. Lol the worry wort.

Well I am going to sign off and I hope everyone has a good night.

It has been a really hard winter from the get go... It is sunny here today, but cold. about 10 degrees now. I need to get out in the fresh air though so I am going to try to get out there. Even if it is just a walk in the snow blower path around the yard. It is better than nothing. I am gaining weight from the inactivity.

I hope we can all survive this winter. Maybe we will have an early spring. That would be nice.

You may have to get different curtain rods. I have had that happen before and the part the rod goes through was not big enough.

Try to calm down, and relax. You will get it fixed soon.

Good morning ......

   Anyone have any comments on the "Sochi water"? It does kind of remind me of melted yellow snow!

   It's a bright sunny day out - but with a temp of 10 degrees at 8am. Gizmo did see one big German Shepard out there and missed another dog (unknown type) over a block away.

   In the past years, January would always have one or two very strange but warm days ... in the 50's! This year, I don't think we've been above 30 to 35-degrees once since December.

   Busy week next week - with two trips (one for chemo) to the Oncologist, one to the Urologist and one to the hospital - then one support group and checking on another suport group too.

   Time to do some major housecleaning too - with both of my daughters coming over in less than two weeks. My oldest daughter hasn't seen Gizmo since he was a puppy.

   Maybe we can all celebrate his 3rd birthday then.

Hope everyone has a day with little stress.

Hello to everyone else...

We've got burglars in the area. We only heard this morning. They went by two neighbors during the last week. They stole some gas tanks and kitchen wares that was outdoors. We have wares and gas tanks outdoors. We secured them inside after hearing this. I've been looking into putting a GPS device in my car. I will have to check it out and get it installed soon. The car is costing me a lot. I really need to secure it. I'm going to use it to go to work from tomorrow. It will be the first time I'll be driving it by myself. I think I can do it.

   For those few who watch "The Walking Dead", the 4th season resumes tonight at 8pm-CST. All day today and yesterday there has been a marathon on AMC with "The Walking Dead"!

   It sure has been sunny today but still has not gotten up to 20 degrees. A good day for bill paying and laundry.

   UA ...... sorry to hear about the burglars. I can't remember if you said you have a dog. It's something of a deterant at least for some burglars. It sounds like it's time to get out the auto manual - just to check where all of the control knobs are - and maybe where the fusebox is.

   JB1 ....... sorry about the finances. Both of my daughters have varying problems with their extra costs - one of them with student loans - and one of them with two kids. Hope your Zoloft eventually works for you.

   Karen ...... one of the local news programs a couple of days ago showed two glasses of water from one of the new hotels in Sochi - and it sure looked like a Urologists sample. Then yesterday, on a local sport radio station, they were talking about some people getting sick on that hotel water. I would guess some are trying to it as quiet as possible - but it's pretty disgusting.

   To anyone out there ....... I tried a navel orange two days ago that was advertised as some kind of a red navel. The inside of the orange looked a lot like a red grapefruit ... but the taste was like a sweet and juicy navel orange. Anyone know where they're from?

They have blood oranges that are red inside, I think that they are from Florida. Not sure though.

Just woke up from a nap. Kind of groggy yet.

A/V- Welcome back hun! Missed ya. I am glad the court stuff is over for now. Im sorry that you are going to be strapped for a bit, but it will all be worth it soon enough. I know what you mean about not sticking to your diet, I had a big ol slice of carrot cake... I can feel the inches already.

Well today was a mess! I woke up and didn't want to be up. My son was a booty head all day so he is grounded from the computer for 2 weeks. I did laundry, cleaned the garage. Then went and got a new battery for my van. We came home and I finally broke down and cried.

Ever since I fell I have felt like an emotional wreck. I did talk to my mom about it and told her I felt worthless and stuff because I get 480 a month and cant pay for a lot of the up keep on my van. Her and dad both have told me not to worry but I still dont like it.

My son lost a tooth tonight so the tooth fairy will pay him tonight.

I am very tired so I will post tomorrow.

Stay warm and strong my friends. Tomorrow will be a good day for all of us.

   Another sunny but very cold day here. It was -3 degrees here at 7:30am. But we actually saw two dogs out this morning - both neighborhood dogs - both dogs that Gizmo had played with last Fall.

   I was on the phone with my youngest daughter last night - and she is getting excited about the move to Austin, Texas. She and her BF are going down the first week in March to apartment check ... then she is moving down there the second or thrid week in April.

   The winter here this year has much to do with her excitment of getting out of this area. On the way to DD this morning, I heard on the radio that today is the 20th consecutive day where the low temperature has been down to below zero! We are within a couple of days of setting a new record for cold. And we will be setting a new record for snowfall by sometime this month.

   I finally started my old calendar again - an old software program. There is so much coming up and also needing to be scheduled, without the calendar, I know I would forget a few things over the next few weeks.

   Karen & MissJD ..... thanks - they are a type of blood orange. When talking to my daughter last night, that's what she said too. Don't know why I've never heard of em before - but they were very good!!!

   AV ...... hope things get better for you soon. Surprised you watched the marathon. One episode, yesterday morning, was just outstanding from the third season. It was the one where Rick meets his old friend (from the first season) who now has isolated himself after his son died. And at the time, Carl and Michone go to get a baby crib - but Carl really wants that last picture of his family - when life was better. A powerful episode!!!

   Hope everyone stays a little warm today. My new interval chemo is today - so I need to look for some things to bring to read.

   Last nights episode was interesting. Carl went from a defiant teen to a predatory adult and then back to Rick's son - afraid of losing anyone else! It's unimaginable what that kid went thru in the third season.

   Did they lose Judith?????

   Finally, they showed that Michone did have a child once - and lost it. She keeps showing more signs of being a real human - and not always in her protective mode of little emotion.

   I am absolutely sure Carol will be back. Considering Rick's condition, I wouldn't be surprised if Carol came back in some way as a leader of a group.

   Will the Governor be back .... as a zombie? Hmmm!

   Daryl should be the person with the greatest strength for leading - if Carol doesn't come back as a leader.

Lot's of loose ends ............. a good series!
