I, too, have had vivid dreams in the past.
I was on Citalopram for awhile, and had normal dreams. But when I started taking Wellbutrin, I noticed the intensity increase. They were dreams of me dying or people dying or scary things and such. If it's bothersome, look into it. It could very well be your medication that your on.
Usually "vivid dreaming" can be a side effect. I took Melatonin for years, and had a similar problem. Always dreaming something different, and I can recall it all when I wake up.
Thankfully, most of that is gone now. I just am tired all the time (the joys of being anxious AND having a sleeping disorder)
I saw a very interesting book at Barnes and Noble once, that was literally the size of a dictionary, that explained all dreams and their general meaning and context. You should look into that. Keep a dream journal. Depending on your worldly view, some people claim that what happens in your dreams means something in real life. Try examining it closer, if you wanna! :)
