I just got back from blueberry picking. Nice breeze but kind of warm. We found a lot of big berries. But it takes a lot to do anything with them. I am going to give mine to an elderly lady that can't get out to pick.

Hello Everyone,

First day of vacation. I slept in. I finally got up and started cleaning. I'm sorting out stuff. We're giving away some things to the cancer society. We'll give some to the church to give away, some we'll giveaway ourselves to people we know need things.
I've found new clothes that I never wore. I'll give those to my niece.
I also found some of my toys. I feel sad to give then away, but I know someone will use it. I just have it packed down for souvenir and in no use. I think it's better to give it away. I will be happy to know someone is happy to have it and use it.

Karen: Have fun picking Blueberries. We don't have those here either.

Myself: I hope the infection clears up. Take care of yourself. Thinking of you.

JB: I'm sorry you're still down. I hope you will post still so we'll know you're okay. Treat yourself or watch a nice movie. I have a week off. Feel free to come over, I have lots of movie to cheer you up.

Rob: *Hugs* to you. I'm sorry that your oldest daughter doesn't seem interested and is just ignoring it. It really does suck when you don't have support from family or the people we expect it from. We are here for you.

AV: Hope today's better for you.

Michele, Karen, Rob: The wedding was good. My bf and I had another fight Sat night but we still went together. We didn't stay till the end. Hindu weddings are loooooong. We stayed for around 3 hours. My bf's family were very nice. All his cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. Very nice and friendly.
I took approx 1 hr and 30mins to get dress. My sister had to dress me. I can't tie a sari (Indian wear).

I just spoke to my direct boss. Not sure if I mentioned before, she's pregnant. She's due first week in Aug but haven't been feeling well lately. I was support to take 2 weeks vacation last week in July and first week in Aug, but since she will have to go on leave then, she ask me to go before.
She had her doc app today. She said the doc said she can go in labor anytime, maybe next week for the latest. She told he she's scared. I feel scared too a bit. Just praying for both her and the baby to be safe and okay.
Anyways, so if she goes in labor this week, I may need to go out to work if they call me.

Going to finish sort out stuff again.

Grandchildren are so sweet. I am glad you had an awesome time... I am sorry your daughter doesn't communicate well. But I am happy you had such a good experience with the grand daughters...

Good morning ......

   Good old Giz woke me up at 12:20am for water and at 5:40am for kicks I guess. It's so nice to have cool weather now - raining most of yesterday but I think today will be dryer.

   Jessica D ....... if you like smooties, a good way to try blueberries might be to try a blueberry smoothie from McDs - although they are a little pricey for a drink! Hope you get some cooler weather soon. And with my oldest daughter, she's just doing what her own mother did in my father-in-laws last few years .... simply ignore him unless money was involved!!!

   I'm going to invite my grandaughters over for my birthday in November. The oldest one is becoming a dead-head - like her father (my son-in-law) but the youngest one always has been a little sweetheart - just like my youngest daughter (her god mother). Ah yes ....... what would we do without families and all the misery they can bring us!

   Karen ....... I wouldn't exactly call yesterdays visit awesome. They were here for less than 10-minutes - and my youngest grandaughter was the only one who had manners. My oldest grandaughter never even said hello to me - just like her Dad!!!!

   UA ....... glad to hear you had a pretty good time - didn't know Hindu weddings could be or would be very long. Long ago, I had a hindu friend from India - we worked together but our families got together for a few parties - but no weddings. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Notes:

   Today is the day for me to formally write to U. of C. to cancel the proposed clinical trial start on 8/1/14. As long as I passed the echo cardiogram, I'll be starting my first chemo session tomorrow on the newest chemo.

   I need to call my Urologist's office today - so that i can re-schedule my kidney stent surgery for three weeks from today. It needs to be very carefully scheduled between chemo treatments.

   And then start looking for an overnight caregiver to stay with me the night of the surgery - since my daughter is 1200-miles away now. That means .... "major housecleaning"!!!!!!

Rob, I am sorry you are going through so much right now and in the future. I think I wanted to believe you had a good time with daughter and grand daughters.

I myself would find it hard to help people that treat me so coldly. You have a good heart. A big heart. I know how much you love them all. It maddens me beyond belief. I am sorry. I don't like to hear you have been treated the way they are treating you. I am glad you got to enjoy the youngest. With much heartfelt sorrow. I just hope you are having a good day today.

It is raining here too. Cool, down in the upper 50's. But better than hot hot hot... I kind of like this weather ,but it feels like fall.

Also-little anxious. Gyno says ultrasound just found fibroids (normal), and wants to keep our appointment for a biopsy (which really hurts, if you have never had one).

But, I noted on my paperwork from the therapist yesterday that there was an 'appointment' scheduled for today, for the telephone, by the gyno. So, anxiety about this has set in.

I had all of these tests done about 18 months ago. The gynos I had then did not pursue anything unless I pushed for info, and did not suggest anything about the constant blood. So... Let's just say, as we all know, doctors are very different. My old office in southern Virginia was much more focused on childbirth.

Michele, I almost missed your news, I posted almost the same time you did. I am happy for you.

Myself, Awesome is all I can say!!! We are all very proud of you!!!

JB, have a good visit to the psychiatrist. I hope things get better for you. Try to stay somewhat cool. Pay your bill late. Don't suffer. I am so sorry about the heat. It has been kind of cold here, but better than hot. I do not do good in heat.

Myself, again. I know about the biopsy. It goes steady, fast enough to get through it. Hope it isn't too bad for you. I had one on my cervix. They showed me every tool that they used, finally I didn't want to see anymore. Plus you have to stay awake...

Rob, I am glad you have good threads on the prostate forum, and good friends. That is important... I have made a lot of good friends here. Friends I think I will always keep in touch with. One good thing about computers and internet.

Everyone stay cool. I remember living where it was hot and humid.

I woke up better this morning, but anxiety still there. Hope changing up my melds will lead to good changes rather than relapses. Each day I have fear, but I still have hope. I hope that hope is realized and the fear is manageable.

Hawkeye, I hope your anxiety goes away. Remember the breathing. In through the nose and out through the mouth. Like smelling the roses and blowing out the candles.

Myself, thats wonderful about your tests. Fibroids can be very painful. I get hormone related migraines and they are terrible. Get some rest and try a cool rag on your forehead.

Jessica, I can't remember if I've had blueberries or not. The kids love them. I seem to think I've had them and don't like them. Lol

Karen, we used to bring apples and strawberries to grandmother. I'm sure your neighbor the enjoyed the fresh fruit and that you thought of her.

JB, try to not stress yourself out. You've got a lot go uhh bg on. You are doing all you can.

Michele, you are brave. I don't think I could do it. I hope he turns out to be worthy of you.

Rob, I hope you are staying cool and eating. Did you get some pictures of your granddaughter and Gizmo playing? I bet it was adorable.

Pain has been bad. I went for a walk anyway and now can't up straight now. The shots are on Thursday. I really need then to help. The ex husband had told me that my insurance was good until the end of June. I found out today that it became invalid at the end of last month. Now I am responsible for the full price of 2 dr appointments. The divorce is also causibg my car insurance rate to go up. All of this and my dr refuses to clean me for work. Every time I think I finally have a handle on everything something else goes wrong. I've spent today on the phone trying to get things sorted but I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I'm tired and stressed. I've got no appetite. I know I can't give up but I don't know what else to do. Its gettibg harder to tell myself to that it could be worse, my life seems to take that as a challenge.

AV : I remember those days when everything seemed to happen at once. U have come a long way.. UR a strong women. I have been inspired reading all u have done to sort out UR life over the past few months.

YOU are an inspiration. UR handling the changes and challenges in UR life one day at a time. Every day. I promise u everyone of UR friends are here for u whenever u need support . There is so much we can do to pay respect to what u want & to be able to do and say words from one hearts or for you, or offer just a hug, and so much more.

AV: the affordable care act has help for those who can't afford full price insurance. I'd start with Medicaid and if you don't qualify, find out if you qualify for help with the affordable care act. I was eligible for $180 per month. That was half of my premium.
