Myself: I'm sending positive thoughts your way as you fill out the job applications and I'm sorry to hear about the argument with you bf and hopefully you two won't be mad long and all will be well today

Happy Turtle: I hope you got everything worked out with your pc I've used skype a few times but don't know a lot about it

Michele: I'm glad the first day was a success and wish the same with your college classes tonight,

AV: I didn't expect to have so many complications I thought I was doing the right thing by having the surgery out of fear of losing my vision but now I've had so many complications, an infection and need another surgery. I'm not too good at standing up for myself or asking questions but I'm confused about having to be admitted twice, all the problems & pain I'm having and unsure about going through with another surgery so I have a lot to figure out. I hope that your lunch goes well and it isn't too stressful for you. I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt and your cousin, it's very kind of you to try to help and remember sometimes there is only so much we can do in certain situations sometimes as much as we want to help someone we may not be able to and it's okay because at least we tried to do all we could so be sure to be kind to yourself and try not to stress yourself out too much. I hope there will be a good solution for your cousin.

I hope that this next surgery sorts things out. How is your vision? I am sorry about the infection. Hopefully soon you will be feeling better soon.

I hope all of you have a good night. We just had supper. I cooked some fresh white fish. Pan fried. It was so good. I put a little lemon on it, really enjoyed it.

I too hope you and your bf make up soon Myself. I think I missed your post.

Morning all-

HFO- so good to hear from you. So sorry for what you are going thru.

UA- hiiiiiiiiii!!! You were having a tough time recently. How are you now?

Karen- so glad the medicine issue was possibly fixed.

Rob- at Starbucks, do you ever get the flavored drinks? I hear Pumpkin Spice is back. Yummy!!

Well, the full on reality called teacher life has started. Met 125 students Monday. Met 51 students last night at college. I haven't had more than 5 hours of sleep at night since last Friday. When I chose to go back into the general ed classroom, I had two concerns 1) my body being physically able to keep up 2) lack of sleep and increased stress will ignite my depression.

I have friends on the big D watch. When my depression kicks in, I will tell myself for days or weeks- it will get better tomorrow. I'll feel better tomorrow. And then I don't. And I get stuck there. My friends will alert me if I get stuck.

On the plus side, I'm soooooooo happy to be back in the math classroom. All of my kids are just super and funny and eager. I've had an exhausting week but I'm just thrilled!! Right now, the adrenaline is fueling me. I'll crash this weekend.

Well, off to the bath!! Hope you have a great wacky Wednesday!!!

Karen-Fish sounds good. I have a turkey breast I need to cook.

A few more phone calls today. Several federal apps I have marked on my account to work on. Federal resumes are very different than regular ones, and take a lot of time to doctor for each job. I sent one yesterday that sounded really great for me.

BF has a serious infection from a bug bite over the weekend. He is seeing the doctor today.

Emotionally-I am a little better, I guess. I am still really tense about money, but I have told all creditors they will get a bite once I get my first unemployment. Still anxious, but trying to stay calm and carry on.

Good morning ........

   Two days of superb weather coming - into the 70's for highs both days. Although rain is coming by Friday.

   Gizmo saw just one dog this morning ...... strange one ..... tall, very thin, all black and shaped a lot like a greyhound! Maybe there is such a thing as  black greyhound!

   We didn't go for a ride yesterday. It looks like the cancer has moved into a next phase now - two bad days in a row, but today started out pretty good!

   Karen ....... hope all went well with the psychologist.

   Michele ....... pumpkin spice was supposed to be back this past Monday - early this year!!!

   HFO ...... sorry the surgery has grown into so many prolems for you.

   AV ........ maybe a crazy idea - but is there anything in your Aunts home that could be pawned?

   UA ....... any holidays coming up?

Notes:

   The Primary doctor search is back in gear today. And tomorrow, is a support group meeting - they've become almost more meaningful than meeting with my psychologist .... which i should start doing again soon!

Update on me and whats going on here.

Well lets see, Dad has beeen home from hospital a little more than a week now and is doing good. He had Acute Reanal Failuar. Spelling bites. He is going in for contrast dye CT scan for the mass on the left kidney. He is worried but tries not to show it. Its actual cute how he is trying to play it off.

My son started school a little over a week ago and has been flooded with home work, which makes life from 330 to when he gets done a real butt.

Dad has went from a pack and a half of smokes a day down to 2-5 smokes a day! Yay so proud. Thanks to the patch. Yay

I have been smoking more than usual, booooooo. I have made dinner for the past 2 or 3 nights and then turn around the next day and do dishes. Fun, not.

My "broom" flew in day before yesterday and I have been a real witch, my time of the month joke. Today I am awake and have to take the recycle in, go to the store, do dishes, do laundry, my friend needs to go to the store, so I will go with her, then check the mail and somewhere in all of that shower. Lol busy day. Also have to make phone calls. Yikes.

Nightmares have been more as of late, the only thing that I have been doing different is I have increased my salt intake so no more sunflower seeds to see if that will cut them out again.

Well have to get dressed and ready for the day. More later on.

I have been smoking more than usual Jess, I know it isn't good. But the more I worry about it, the more I want to smoke. Sounds stupid I know... I am trying to stay busy and keep the cigarettes an hour apart.

Ex-smoker here.

BF just called from the ER ?!>

He got a bug bite of some sort Sunday. It was inflamed the past few days. We cleaned it with alcohol and used hydrocortisone. It kept getting bigger and redder and more swollen. Finally he agreed to go to the doctor today. They sent him directly to the ER for heavy-duty antibiotics. He is usually so very well that he is a little freaked out.

They won't let him go unless the wound shows improvement.

I had MRSA five years ago, and wouldn't wish it on anyone. So, let's hope the antibiotics help out.

BF is being admitted for observation overnight. It is a good idea. He has assured me he doesn't need anything, and not to drive down. He is at hospital near his work, which is an hour or so away. He has doctors down there, since he doesn't trust the doctors up here, after researching them.

No idea what bug it was. But, this same thing happened last year, but on the other leg. So clearly something in circulatory system of leg is an issue. Last year, urban park. This year, top of mountain, very rural. However, last year it was much tamer, and spread slowly. This year, it spread, fast.

He is going to be cranky. Glad I don't have to deal with him. He is a growly kind of person.

Karen- It doesnt sound stupid, I do the same thibg with my smoking.

I have been home a total of 3.5 hours all day! So much fun shopping and hanging out with my friend. I love days like this.

Wow, Myself. I hope he's ok! I do understand about beibg glad you don't have to deal with him right now. Some men can make very annoying "patients".

Jessica, I'm glad your dad is home. I think people always feel somewhat better in the safety of their own home. Maybe you could do something with him. Take him to a movie or something? When my dad's cancer came back we had a superhero movie marathon. He enjoyed the movies and the break from the stress.

I'm still feeling down. I see my pain management and pcp tomorrow. Its going to hard to make myself go. Didn't help that when I weny to pick the kids up from school they weren't there. I was scared to death. Their dad's idiot girlfriend had picked them up thinking it was Tuesday. I had such a big panic attack and my chest still hurts!

I'm only getting a couple hours of sleep. That has really added to my reading time. I'm averaging about one novel every 36 hours or so. The one I'm reading now is pretty good and makes think of my Grandfather. Its called Unbroken.

Karen: My vision is not doing too good, I have blurred vision & double vision off and on during the day I have to see a nuero-opthomalogist (not sure of the spelling) but it wasn't like this before the surgery so I'm not sure what to think about my next step. The fish you are cooking sounds good it gives me ideas.

Michele: So glad to hear how happy you are and that you have friends to help you watch out for your depression that is such a good thing to have in your life, you're really lucky. It sounds like you have a great bunch of kids this year and they're lucky to have you as their teacher.

Myself: I'm glad to hear you're a little better emotionally and I hope your bf gets well soon and the bite clears up overnight

JessicaD: I'm glad your Dad is home. What grade is your son in? So he has a lot of homework everyday, I've been curious about my daughter not having much homework she just started middle school and is in all honors classes last year she had a problem with not being honest about having homework so at open house I asked if there would be daily homework each teacher said no but there really hasn't been any and with me dealing with all this medical stuff and not feeling good I'm trying to make sure I stay on top of things as much as possible. I think I may need to double check on the homework.

AV: I'm sorry you're still feeling down, you're not alone and I hope you feel better and I hope you can get a little more sleep.

When the nurse came out today my temp was 102 and I'm hoping it's going down and not up. The percocet helps with the pain but I have to deal with the side affects and emotionally I'm no where near good but I'm completely off all my anti-depressants and know I need to get my refills and get back on the ball but if I take everything for my depression/anxiety/ptsd, plus the stuff from the surgery for pain and hormone levels I will be taking over 12 meds and to me that's too much and I know I'm no doctor just worried about the affects of taking so many meds.

Is it fair to ask someone, who knows how far into a very deep depresdion I am, to just lighten up on me? My ability to cope and accept criticism right now I'd very limited. I'm trying so hard to keep myself together but I feel like it would just take one good bump to push me back where I was last week. I know its not the other person's fault (although, they have contributed to the situation) and they should be able to vent, argue, and express their negative thoughts and such. I just don't want to fall apart again. I am tired of feeling this way.

Hi all!!

We need a big HW family HUG it sounds like!!!!! Myself, HFO, Rob, AV, HT- you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Well it's Thursday. I've almost made it a complete week. I'm going to have to learn how to stretch out my energy- I'm dragging in the afternoons.

I'm finding that getting to work around 6:30-7:00 each morning is helping me get things accomplished without bringing them home.

I'll send good thoughts to all!

Good morning .............

   Back to coffee this morning - beautiful day out - up to about 75 later today. It's been an unusually kind Summer here - only a few thunderstorm warnings and no tornado warnings (yet)! I/2" hail to days ago - but otherwise pretty nice.

   Michele ...... happy work week - nearly done.

   HT ...... at least you were welcomed with a nice spring day.

   AV ...... absolutely fair to ask someone to lighten up.

   HFO ....... you're so nice to think about all of us while you're going thru so much. Hope your sight regains all that it ever was.

   Myself09 ....... keep the search going and the spirits up ... wishing your BF well also.

   Jessica D ...... please double check with your Dad's medical people about the contrast dye with the CT scan. With my own renel failure, my scans are always without contrast dye.

   Karen ...... get more sleep ... OK?

Notes:

1) I now have a new Primary Doctor - will see him next Tuesday.

2) I have an appointment with my old Pulmonary doctor in 3-weeks.

3) I did get a Ventolin rescue inhaler thru the Pulmonary office.

4) Soon .... I can tell my old Primary to .... kiss my grits!

And in 2-hours, I have my support group meeting.
