My girlfriend wants time to find herself- suffers from depression

finally back home..saw her on the plane..initially she said a quick hello and kept walking but then i saw her looking around to see where i was...on the plane she came looking for me and was trying to be very sweet...then once we landed, she was a little cold again. her parents are trying to reach out to her somehow but im backing off a little. i guess maybe i should wait and see if she reaches out to me..what do you think? i have enough going on here to keep me busy but im still thinking about her a lot....everyone here is trying to convince me to stay away from her that what she did was cruel and she will likely do it again...on the flip side, i understand she is young and is a little lost...she had grown significantly when she was here and then she went there for a month and completely changed in a childish, no consequence type mentality....just confused how she can love me one minute and shut down completely the next day, literally, complete emotional shutdown....i miss her a lot but i have to try to force myself to not think about her..

Do NOT I repeat do NOT speak with her. And if you do have small talk like that, show you are unphased. You shouldn't be her friend. You don't look at her in that way so don't give that as an option.

I think she's gonna realize she doesn't feel the same way she did when she was outside the states. And she will come to her senses eventually. But being her friend I'll just make her NOT miss you which is not what you want. You want her to miss you. And not talking to her will help her do that. And don't over think anything ok ? You know the type or girl she is- and don't let your mind convince you otherwise. Give it time. I feel like she's gonna realize she made a mistake. But start bettering yourself please. Don't sulk. Work out- eat healthy- feel better about yourself

Listen man I went through it and I needed someone. I'm just returning the favor to karma because I didn't think I was gonna make it through. And just some motivation, me and my girlfriend DID get back together. I'm sure you read over a dozen articles about people saying to move on and it's done for good.. Statistics show people are more likely to vent about the bad than the good. No one really likes to talk about the good stuff. But everyone talks about the bad. I'm here to tell you that we got back together, and we are happy. And you'll be another one of those people buddy.

the person she has become is not the person she was before she left...I know for a fact her friends in Greece were trying to convince her to eventually go back and that she would find another relationship etc etc

unspoken, have some updates...

so i bumped into her folks the other day and they asked me to call her at home. they were saying that she hasnt left the house, is under a lot of stress, is very angry etc. So i called and she asked if we could meet for coffee. I went and we chatted for a couple hours about life and school and miscellaneous things...nothing relationship related. it was hard for me but i did it. this was on tuesday. when i dropped her off she gave me a kiss on the cheek and said she would be in touch. unbeknownst to me, she had left her jacket and hat in the back seat. she calls me the next day and says she left her stuff in my car. then she asked me if we could meet friday night so she could get it back. i offered to drop it off at her house but she insisted on friday night. what do you think is going on? Im trying to keep my emotions grounded but its getting difficult

I want to ask her if shes been with anyone but i wont...she told me her ex found out we broke up and hes been hounding her...dont know why she told me that...she mentions thats shes making new friends at school but ive noticed shes careful about what she says...she will tell me she met a guy after class who is sending her notes and right after she says i met a girl too and shes sending me stuff....i feel like she may be trying to test me or make me a little jealous...i dont know

one of the hardest things is everyone around me is telling me to drop her like a bad habit..that she will do it again and shes dangerous if she can emotionally shut down like that and not care..i cant bring myself to do that...i know she hurt me but maybe someday she will realize it...i dont know..
