Expired meds???

Has anyone taken expired meds? I have some lexapro samples and are shut tight in the aluminum foil packets and they just expired 06/2014 so not too long ago...would you take this or not?

I'm just stressing over the fact that I don't have insurance and how I'm going to continue with the lexapro...

50/50 chance they will work, but what will you do when they are gone?

Well I have about 5 sample boxes with about 7 pills each and I cut them in half because I only use 5mg so i thought maybe that would last me for quite some time...I've just been iffy about taking them.

Sometimes the company will give you free meds for a long time.

I would think if the meds expired in June, they would still work. Didn't your doc say that they were good for a year??? Wait, the pharmacy said "no" didn't they???

How do you write the raspberry sound???

well I would think they would be good too I guess I'm just a little concerned...yes the doctors nurse is the one who called and was told it was ok...I realized today I need to stay on this med Lol today was my first day back to work after 3 days off and I was anxious just being there...at the same time I work at a call center for the immigration so sitting for 8 hours a day gets me impatient! I'm a person who likes to move around and keep busy...

All you can do is try. Check out needy meds and call the manufacturer. Some can be very helpful; others won't cut you a break.

Hi Roxy:  Just a few months ago, I started on insurance after not having any for years. When I heard of this a few years back, I was skeptical at first but I tried NeedyMeds.org and it saved me a considerable amount of money on all my prescriptions.  I highly recommend it.  It was a godsend.  Good luck!  Cass

Hi Cass....As a matter of fact I went to the website and spoke with someone over the phone and started an account...is that what you did as well?
