Daily Check in Thread for All!!! #102

Well Alex has been sick for 4 or 5 days and now I have it. Yucky. Normal cold but can turn bad fast for me so getting us checked out at urgent care. We went and adopted a male kitty today. He is so cute. He will come home either Friday or Wednesday after he is fixed. Can't wait to bring our Castiel (Cas) home. Stay strong and safe all.

Hi all,

Karen- I took a nap and woke up with this cold that Alex has. Ended up in urgent care here in town. Alex has cold and ear infection. I have small lung infection and the cold. Med school for days for us. I hope that your day was good.

Chotti- I am so sorry to hear about your son, people are so stupid. That is so bad. I pray that he turns to someone for help and will be better and happy in no time. I do know that the last post Rob sent he said he was putting Giz in at the vet that boards and then his neighbor was taking him to the hospital for a week or so. I am very worried about him and Gizmo too.

I am so tired and not feeling good. So many things to do. Ugh! More later on. Stay strong everyone.

Thanks Karen,I spend 90 % of my time trying to find him thru friends and counselors that know me for yes and treated him. They have not seen him in months.

Oh my goodness a ear infection is so painful take all the meds. Remember to eat lots of yogurt while on antibiotics they kill all the goo bacteria is UR body and yeast takes over and ad bacteria. A protect UR tummy and intestines with probiotics, yogurt of Diflucan.

CheleL it's hell having family with these issues. I am so very sorry that UR mom suffers from a similar problem. The stress from the worry u sit and wait wondering what's next? And I have done everthing under the sun to help him .. It certainly contributes to our health issues. I hope ur mom is better soon.u need a break. And UR poor Back do u have bulging or herniated dics.i have three and PT HELPEd WITH EXERCISES .

My son is always on my mind my beautiful,son so lost and in sooo much horrible pain. I cry myself to sleep every nite hoping that the Lord will show me the way give my son peace and help my son thru a healing journey HOME soon.

Hello: I don't know anyone on this thread, but my dad (Gizzy'n me, or Rob) was posting here and I wanted to follow up. He passed away on Saturday. If you'd like to make condolences, I have written his obituary.

I offer my heartfelt condolences which goes out to Rob's family and friends and Gizzy and to all Robs friends on HW. GIZZY is going to miss his best friend.

HW... will never be the same without Rob . He was always so engaging in the every day checkin thread. I always looked foreword to reading his posts. As we exchanged emails funny cute ones u know his dry sense of humor, always made me laugh.

I will go read his OB. He was a talented architect . We talked of his projects often.

THAnk you Amber , UR dad talked of u and he loved u & UR sister very much. Take care of Gizzy he helped Rob thru so much.

Amber-I am so sorry for your loss. My thanks for you coming and posting to let us know. We have been worried, and that's a real thing despite the being an online forum.

He was very proud of you, and loved you very much. He spoke of you all the time.

Love to Gizmo...

Dixie-He mentioned in a post a few weeks before he went to the hospital that he had secured a good home for Gizmo, in the event he could no longer take care of a dog.

One of his biggest fears was dying and no one knowing that Gizzie was now alone.

Amber, Thank you so much for letting us know about your dear father. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was such a good man. He had a great sense of humor and solid advice. He always spoke w/ such love for his girls. He loved his Gizzy and had such a way of telling his stories about Gizzy, you just had to laugh.

Altho, none us ever met, you get to know ppl from their posts. Your father was a treasure, a very good man.

God rest his soul.

Everyone, thank you so much. It's been hard, but I do want to let you know that Gizmo is being fostered and likely adopted by the same man through a Samoyed rescue group ... whose name also happens to be Bob. A little strange, but maybe it's fate. (My dad went by Bob in his earlier years, then started calling himself Rob.) While my dad hadn't actually gotten anything set up in getting him to a good home, just talked about it, my sister and I were able to jump through a few communication hoops this week to make it happen. Gizmo is a great dog but neither of us could take him in — it's nice he'll be loved by another Bob who is a lover of the breed.

It's also very nice knowing how much my dad helped people. He did talk about this forum being such a good outlet for him, and I'm happy he found it, and you. Reading these posts makes me smile.

Amber- Thank you for posting the update on Gizmo, I am sure that he will be loved and that his life will be good again. I am glad that the posts are helping in some small way. Your dad is one of the best end I have gotten to know in recent years and we all miss him like crazy. I am very sorry that you lost your dad he loved his girls to no end. I pray that you and your sister can make peace with this fact. Thank you again.

Super20dan- I have not tried it but I do need to do something as my asthma is not Controlled well. At the moment I am sick so going in now will not help but once the cold is gone I will go to my doctor and see that things are done to make things better


Well nine years ago today I gave birth to my son! Happy birthday Alex! We got to bring out new kitty home today. We have named him Castiel ( Cas ) for short. He is scared to death and little girl is being a poop to him so she isn't helping but things will be fine. I am going to go to sleep. So tired and not feeling well. I love you all.
