I started on Prozac on 9/2/'14. I swear it kicked in by week 2. Other than some anxiety with upcoming root canal, I feel great! I have never had so many days of feeling "happy"! Just need to find a Dr. to let me have some Ativan too = my primary refuses to give me any more :( ..... And I still have not found a Psychiatrist :( ...... So far, following lack of sleep from anxiety is the only days I am not feeling great.

I am so glad things are turning around for the better for you. Yay! Good p docs are hard to find. Heck I cling to mine like my world depends on it. Lol

Keep strong and stay positive everything comes together when and as it should.

Glad to hear of you success with the Prozac, sorry to hear about your anxiety and medication issues.

I've had a doctor refuse to give me ativan although I was prescribed it by a Psychiatrist, but she would give me xanax, she said she hadn't prescribed ativan in 12 years and wouldn't, so I don't know what that was all about, ativan wasn't the one for me, although when I have had really bad panic attacks and went to the hospital they have given me a shot of ativan and that was okay.

Hopefully you will find a Psychiatrist soon.

This is the first time I have heard about restrictions on ativan. My Physc give me a script with refills. However, I take it as a PRN and sparingly at that.

I need experience a out patient doctor accusing me of abusing the drug, so perhaps there is a lot of addiction to the drug.

At any rate, I do hope you get straighten soon.

it is very addicting . its way more potent in a shot and will flat out stop an attack. in pill form its very short acting and before long you will devolop a tollerance to it . xanax and klonipin are better for longer term control of panic attacks but also are addicting as well. try buspar for anxiety. non addicting but have some thing stronger for an all out attack -just in case.

Still doing very well with the Prozac. Still having a bit of trouble excepting my hubby choosing the other woman (his daughter), & her kids, over me. But is HIS lose!!! Makes me kind a sad that HE doesn't see how HE is just being used by HER. FREE baby & dog sitter, free maintenance/handy man, free mechanic, free yard care (including pooper scooping for her 2 dogs). Again, the ONLY thing he does NOT do is sleep with her (her husband at least does that).
