On Remeron - feeling much better! Is anyone on this?

I am on Remeron and Klonopin for depression and anxiety and am feeling much better.  I think Remeron is the closest to a happy pill I have ever had.  I have had no side effects except for unfortunately craving donuts, cake, sugar and carbohydrates.  My appetite has increased a lot.  I do not need to gain weight, but I guess I would much rather gain weight then be in depression and despair.  I have been on Remeron for 5 days now, and I do great in the mornings, however it seems to poop out around 4pm and I don't feel quite as good.  I am on the lowest dose (15 mg).  I have an appointment with a Psychiatrist on the 22nd and will see what he has to say.  I am only supposed to be on the Klonopin for another two weeks before the Remeron kicks in for anxiety.  Maybe the Klonopin is causing the Remeron not to work as well, as it is for anxiety and perhaps I am too relaxed or something..lol.  I can't beleive how well Klonopin works!  I wish I could take this every day for the rest of my life, but Doctors say it is only for short term use?

Klonopin really helps my anxiety. I take a low dose,0.5.

I have been taking Remeron for 5 years now, I started out on 60mgs but the doctor has decreased it down to 45mg and added Cipralex 5mg. When I started on Remeron I was only 88 pounds so the doctor thought it would be a good drug to help me gain weight and it did.

I found Remeron is great, I didn't have any side effects except for the weight gain which I needed .

Wow..5 years and it is still working? I did some research on it and some guy said it works great for about a month or two and poops out, even on the 45 mg dose. I sure hope it doesn't. I was so apprehensive of going on a chemical antidepressant (Cymbalta side effects put me in the hospital) and the SSRI's gave me permanent Tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and Zoloft gave me terrible anxiety. I don't think Remeron is an SSRI. What is Cirpralex, is it okay to take a combo? I keep hearing about Serotonin Syndrome with combos..

I take klonipon 1mg 3x and prozak 20 mg 3x daily and remeron 30mg once and it has helped so much with my depression, and anxiety, and agoraphobia, i highly recommend this combination lower doses depending on sevarity of symptoms

Remeron used to be my wonder drug, then another hospital team started messing around with it (while telling me they'd spoke to my psychaitrist but actually hadn't, queue lots of anger from her and me) they did it a couple of times before I realised when been back on it properly it wasn't quite working as well anymore. I truely believe if other consultants had not interfered I would have been able to carry on using it without a problem. I started on 15mg, and slowely went up to 45mg, the side effects usually decrease the higher the dose (which is always strange). But my weight gain and tiredness levels certainly were a lot more normal on 45mg than 15mg.

I'm now on Trazadone and it's my new wonder drug. It doesn't stop my anxiety totally, but it removes enough of it so I can function. Depression wise I still have highs and lows but have more highs now and cope better with the lows.

I hope you find Remeron works for you.
