Hi Leila, Trina, Jess, Rey, UA, AngelLisa, everyone else-hello. I've missed you all!

Wet and dreary here. Kids are with their dad. My son should be coming back today and we are going to fix steaks. Yummy!!!

I bought a chaise from a coworker and I am picking it up tomorrow. My living room furniture is ruined because of the cats that ex had. They are all clawed up. So, I am slowly buying new stuff- all gently used! LOL

I have really, really worked hard around the house these last two weeks- cleaned and bleached house floor to ceiling, mulched the flower beds, power washed the back of the house. Yesterday I had nothing left to do. I don't do well with "down" time. But, it was nice.

I hope everyone has a super day! My love to all!

It is nice to see your post, though just reading all you do makes me feel tired!!! I am glad you like to stay busy though.

So sorry to hear about Sonny. Very nice you have a statue for the garden. I have 5 cats and they are all so precious to me. Our fur babies help us thru so much. Cherish all the memories.

Hi gang...
To make a long story short...got the Mr. Coffee machine from our business to see us through.

Haven't replaced the carafe for the home machine, yet. Our local stores were all closed yesterday because of the holiday. Will try today, but when searching on line there are SO many different models and sizes. Even the two I have don't fit each other.

Just a suggestion, check the thrift shops for a replacement carafe for the coffee maker. The ones at the stores don't fit as well but you can usually find your model at one of the shops.

Easter was strange here. My daughter works a 12 hour shift on Sundays, my girlfriend had to be home with her family, I was frustrated because my c.d. player won't work and I couldn't listen to the music I usually play on Easter...ah well, it's over now.

Today, we see daughters endocrinologist and find out what the next step is since they found a tumor on her pituitary gland.

Cloudy here, snowed last night. Not too warm. Kind of damp. I hope it clears up. It is suppose to warm up this week but I think we are getting rain and thunderstorms. We'll see how that goes.

Everyone sounds cheerful this a.m. I had a good nights sleep as well, thanks to ambien. Had all 5 cats on the bed. Not much room for me, they are bed hogs!! Up at 5 for swim practice. I can't do a lot physically anymore but can still swim and I love the water. Weightless so good for my back. I think I was a dolphin in a former life!!

Hi Jan, Thanks for posting. I am glad you got a good night sleep and a refreshing swim... The exercise always makes us feel better. And can give us energy, and swimming is relaxing...

Hi everyone! Just checking in. I hope everyone is doing well and had a good Easter! It's me, Aubreybear... I had to change my username because I have a relative with who has been online stalking me... so just in case, I don't want this person to track my sharing here, since I work in the family business and I am talking about my situation there.

I am a candidate for a job posting that is coming up (they're doing my verification before the job is even posted). I went to a job fair a few weeks ago and evidently they take those candidates really seriously because I did "interview" with the AP of the school. I have been having dreams about teaching (positive ones) so I am hoping that this job will come through! My old school has also shown some interest in having me back, so I am pretty sure something will work out. I am stuck in my current job until I start the new one and I will have to tell my boss this week about the move since they will be calling to verify my employment. VERY ANXIOUS about that. Please think good thoughts for me that my boss won't overreact or fire me for deciding to go back to my old career field :) He did say he would support me if I decided to move on... so let's hope that he hasn't forgotten that he just said that 4 months ago...

Our long weekend is over. It's back to work. Did anyone else have a 4-day long weekend? My sister in the US said it was not a holiday, also my friend from Canada it wasn't a holiday there either. Sometimes I think Trinidad has the most public holidays.

I got up this morning and prepared lunch. My mom usually prepares something for me to carry to work for lunch sometimes. I decided to make something today, so I made some noodles with mushroom.
I have been exploring school options. I am thinking about my different options both locally and internationally.

UA, sounds like you are getting use to being by yourself. I hope you had a good long weekend and that your day goes well. Some workers get Monday off because of Easter. Being it is on a Sunday. And also Good Friday. So for some there is a four day weekend in U.S.

Yep Karen, so far I am doing okay alone. I feel okay. It's been a while since I felt okay. I hope it lasts. It's weird but I don't feel as frustrated or overwhelmed and angry. I still have more than 3 weeks to go though. I'll see how it goes.

Good morning to you, Karen...and any other early folks.

Finally having an ultrasound this morning about my possible thyroid problem...that's if I can get to the location. Horrible pain on the heel of my foot, can barely walk, even using husband's cane.

This getting old stuff is not fun, guess I'm a sissy
