Comparisons are useless. Venting and frustration are helpful so long as they eventually lead to change. When they are the end rather than the journey, then that's a choice to resist change, to remain stagnate.
There are two states of stillness: stagnancy and quiescence. If something is quiescent it is stable for a time, with the future possibility of change. Dormant--capable of action, but not right at the moment. That's different than stagnant. Incapable of movement, foul, stale, inactive, sluggish. Both are without motion, but the first implies change to come, and the second is degeneration and death. Sorry about the treatise, but it is the way I think.
Personally, I hate the feeling of being stuck, with no possibility of movement. It makes me crazy bored and nuts. So I cannot identify at all with this feeling. I am an action-oriented, be-the-change-you-want kind of girl.
So, yeah, if this is how you feel, it's valid. It would just make me sad, but it's your choice. However, there is also nothing wrong with a regrouping, a stop in forward movement to chart or plan. So, yeah. If you are not interested in change, well, the rest of the world will leave you behind, eventually. Because in life, things change, even if they do not want to. It's inevitable, and useless to fight. It's gonna happen, whether you want it to or not.
Since you don't like advice, I shall not offer any. Do your own thing. But don't go expecting things to change.
Be well.
