Hi Everyone-

My daughter spent 2 whole hours with me!!!! That is like a record. She is rushing a sorority and I learned everything and more about the process. She is excited about it.

Morning class was brutal this morning. My brain just wasn't "on". I am planning on making some adjustments in tonight's class. Hopefully, it will go smoother.

Hi all, I'm on "vacation" by the ocean. So far this has meant that my sister is getting free baby sitting. Not so relaxing.

I had a bone scan and it showed significant damage to the bones in my right knee. There's no cartilage and my kneecap is terrible. The left knee isn't far behind. I've trained physical therapy, building muscle around the joint, and I'm not allowed any nsaids. My pain management Dr gave me a couple steroid injections but it quickly became apparent that I'm allergic. That's another factor messing up my vacation. I had my last injection the day before I left. The pm said to expect to easily overheat, feel dizzy, headache and just general malaise for a week. He has given me some meds to help but I am sweating through my clothes several times a day. I feel yucky.

My Dr located an ortho near home willing to take a look at me. My joints aren't formed like everyone else's and I'm only 31 so none of my local drs will help. They all agree that a knee replacement is the logical next step but won't do it. I'm hoping this new Dr (he's located at a university hospital) can help. Hop e you are all well!

I think it is real hard to know who they are. You can feel so connected with somebody, then it goes away in time. So then you aren't sure. That is something we probably know more later on in life...

My perm came out good. They got it good and tight on the top as I asked, last time it wasn't. Very curly. I can wash it today, yay!!! They tell me to wait 48 hours.

Hazy, hot and humid, tropical weather in NJ today. 4:21 p.m. and 99 degrees in my living room with all of the windows open and the fan on! This is why you won't see much from me over the summer!

I have a speaking engagement tonight and don't know how I am to look like anything other than a wet dish rag!

I've tried those new 'cooling cloths' and they work pretty good!

Hope everyone can find a comfortable temperature!

sorry about that av. hi all. soul mates. a mate of the soul. the soul of a mate, to know ones soul, them yours, well, this is a perception, and it reads like this: what is given, is what is received, and what is received is given-and in this process our soul grows. the people matter not(pertaining to relations) , as the soul is within, out and intrinsic. with positive life force it is spread. by this our soul grows, and we are it's mate. that's my deep philosophic moment moment for the day. (this is just my view)

Chele, I'm jealous! We have storms here now. The kids are upset because we were going to go to the beach. I found a marine life place where they can actually touch some of the animals and get in with dolphins so we are going to do that when the weather improves.

Pitmom, I hope your speaking engagement went well. Thats awesome and I'm sure you will do great.

With everything going on with my sister (her husband snuck back to their home last night and took her car) I've been busy with all 5 kids. It's a bit crazy. My youngest nephew is 2 and just stuffed with energy. I may need a vacation from my vacation! Lol.

There's a tug of war going on over my sister right now. My mom and my grandmother want to be the ones deciding what my sister should do. Right now it looks like she will be coming back to Arkansas with her 3 kids. It's already been suggested that she could live with me but I said no. It just wouldn't work so she's going to live with my grandmother.

I know this is long but there's so much happening and I need to vent it. I found out last night that the reason my sister moved to Mississippi is because she had been doing crack with her friends. My mom has been paying their rent, utilities, for my sister to go back to school, and a car. I had to call and ask to borrow 30 dollars from mom a while ago and she chewed me out. If the kids weren't having so much fun I would just go home.
