I don't do xmas, too much pain

I don't do xmas, too much pain, and for the past few years no one to do it with. my sis has gone with her son last year and this, never an invite for her brother. I did xmas with irene a lot, but she gone, buttons and her two dogs would get all the trimmings. I done xmas up at the church a few times, but I thought, nah, not me. it reminded me being in the homeless men's shelter for 3 years whilst my family enjoyed there trimmings. not 1 visit, not 1 card for 3 years. so xmas is just a fanciful kids play time, whilst the real meaning of xmas is forgotten, by some. I am not religious, but tell me a kid who knows who saint nick is? santa coming down the expletive chimmeny!!!! commercialized money making corporatized madness. so I am jaded. bitter, somewhat. just a little indifferent to it due to much personal pain I guess.

Yes, Christmas has been commercialized. But, perhaps it would be good to consider what it is supposed to mean. To me, it is not about buying this or that although, I can get caught up the Western idea that is all about getting to this sale or that sale. The day is a good chance to reflect on what it means that Jesus was born into this world. His birth offers us all hope, hope that cannot be purchased.
