Welcome! From another Jersey Girl! As you can see from my signature, I am quite familiar with dealing both with depression and pain. I hope your testing is finished soon and you will know what you are dealing with. For me, it is always better Knowing. I can't get to 'acceptance' until I 'know' what it is that I have to accept!
There are support groups for depression, support groups for various conditions, support groups for chronic pain, etc. It is a good suggestion to find one or more! Just to be around people that 'know' what I am going through, without really having to say anything, is such a help to me.
Life is a constant change. I've had to 'stop', then slowly build my stamina back up...not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well.
The seasons play a big role in my mood. I have a full spectrum light lamp that helps me through the winter, as well as 'indoor gardening'. Spring and summer are good seasons for me. Autumn is tricky. Nutrition and hydration play a big role too. I use raw honey in tea to help with seasonal allergies, dark chocolate to help boost my mood, water, water and more water to keep my body 'fluid', etc.
You'd be surprised what can help! Keep coming and posting and learning!
